Long term impact of dissolved dispersed petroleum hydrocarbons (DDPH) in Gulf of Iskenderun
Salİhog̈lu, İlkay; Saydam, Deniz; Yilmaz, Ayşen (Elsevier BV, 1987)
DDPH in sea water, polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAH's) in sediment and in some marine biota were monitored for the period of August 1981 and April 1984. Maximum DDPH was measured in winter and minimum in summer. This phenomena showed an inverse relation with the sea water temperature. Increase in sea water DDPH concentration reflected itself immediately in fish liver but two months time lack between fish liver and flesh was observed. GLC analysis results of sea water extracts and various crude oil showed t...
LONG TERM PERFORMANCE AND DEGRADATION RATES OF PV MODULES IN CENTRAL ANATOLIA
Cantürk, Zeynep; Akınoğlu, Bülent Gültekin; Özden, Talat; Department of Physics (2021-9-09)
Outdoor tests of photovoltaic modules are crucial for the market, and technological development. It is vital for manufacturers and researchers to conduct tests not only in the long term but also in different climatic conditions. In this thesis, 12 modules are tested in Middle Anatolia climate conditions for nine years in three different module groups, which are mono-crystalline (Mono-Si-1 & 2 & 3, Bifi-Mono-Si, HIT), polycrystalline (Poly-Si-1 & 2), and thin films (CIS-1 & 2, CIGS-1 & 2, µSi/a-Si). We analy...
Long term performance of an alkaline fuel cell with double layer electrodes
Eroğlu, İnci; Han, E; Turker, L (2000-06-15)
The improvement of an alkaline fuel cell (hydrogen-oxygen) performance by changing the electrode structure and manufacturing method has been achieved by employing multilayer, Teflon-bonded gas diffusion type electrodes which were prepared by the rolling method. Active carbon or carbon black was used as the support material whereas platinum as catalyst and nickel screen as the backing material. Double layer electrodes possessed the active and the diffusion layers on the backing layer. The electrode manufactu...
Long term outdoor performances of three different on-grid PV arrays in central Anatolia - An extended analysis
ÖZDEN, TALAT; Akınoğlu, Bülent Gültekin; Turan, Raşit (2017-02-01)
Long term outdoor testing of the PV systems at different climatic conditions or different systems under the same ambient conditions are extremely important in producing policies for the transition to renewables. The present research is the testing of three different PV systems under the same climatic conditions of central Anatolia, after four years of operation. The systems consist of a mono-Si, an a-Si thin film and a CdTe thin film arrays. Different calculation procedures of the input solar irradiation on...
Short term temporal & spatial fluctuations in marine cyanobacterium synechococcus abundance in oligotrophic deep shelf waters (northeastern Mediterranean)
Uysal, Zahit (2017-01-01)
© by PSP.Abundance of picoplanktonic marine cyano-bacterium Synechococcus was monitored weekly over a year period at an oligotrophic deep shelf station in the northeastern Levantine basin (northeastern Mediterranean). In addition to abundance, ambient parameters such as; temperature, salinity, secchi disc depth, total suspended sediment, ni-trate+nitrite, phosphate, chlorophyll and phyto-plankton were also collected. Population was found most abundant during March & December (1.8 × 104 cells/ml) and June & ...
