Development and validation of B2C e-commerce adoption model : an empirical investigation using structural equation modeling and interpretative phenomenological analysis
Çakır, Murat; Özkan Yıldırım, Sevgi; Yöndem, Meltem Turhan; Department of Information Systems (2012)
Incentive for this research stems from the fact that Business-to-Consumer electronic commerce sector is going to oligopoly and the new actors have relatively less chance to accomplish in the current market if they follow the same ways that the old companies have already paved. Considering this challenge, the aim is to understand the adoption process of customers by analyzing the contemporary perceptions of individuals against e-shopping. Initially, business-to-consumer electronic commerce adoption model is ...
High data rate X-band transmitter for low Earth orbit satellites
Sunay, Hacer K.; Ismailoglu, Neslin; Kirilmaz, Tunahan; Dudak, Celal; Sen, Ozlem A. (2007-04-26)
Main purpose of this study is to design a transmitter with data rates up to 100 Mbps, having QPSK/OQPSK modulation and 7 W (38.5 dBm) output power at 8.2 GHz. This output power satisfies the link budget for a low earth orbit (LEO) satellite at 700 km, utilizing required source-channel coding schemes in baseband for a BER performance of 10(-6). The modulation scheme of the transmitter can be selected as BPSK, QPSK or OQPSK. In addition to QPSK/OQPSK modulation scheme choice, the transmitter will have three d...
The Influence of knowledge-based e-commerce product recommender agents on online-consumer decision making process
Huseynov, Farid; Özkan Yıldırım, Sevgi; Department of Information Systems (2013)
Online retailers are providing large amount of products over internet for potential customers. Given the opportunity of accessing vast amount of products online, customers usually encounter difficulties to choose the right product or service for themselves. Obtaining advice from internet is both time consuming and most of time not reliable. Therefore, intelligent software is needed to act on behalf of customer in such situations. Recommender systems (agents) are intelligent software providing easily accessi...
A new approach to unified performance analysis of randomly-spread CDMA systems over multipath fading channels via crosscorrelation matrix non-asymptotic average eigenvalue distributions
Ertug, O; Baykal, Buyurman; Sayrac, B (2003-09-10)
A new unified method for closed-form theoretical performance analysis of randomly-spread CDMA systems over multipath fading channels with multiuser receivers is presented. The basis of the analysis is the representation of the random signal-to-interference ratios (SIR) at finite system parameters in terms of the eigenvalues of the crosscorrelation matrices for which the non-asymptotic average distributions are found or known. The methodology presented complements the asymptotic limiting theory used in simil...
Design of Maisel sidelobe blankers with a guarantee on the gap to optimality
COŞKUN, Osman; Candan, Çağatay (Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), 2016-11-01)
The conventional sidelobe blanking system, known as the Maisel sidelobe blanker, uses two receiving channels with different gains to detect the presence of a jammer. The Maisel system is an ad-hoc detector without any optimality properties. Yet, it has been successfully utilised in numerous operational systems. Here, the authors study the optimum Neyman-Pearson type sidelobe blanking (SLB) detectors for the Swerling target models to assist the design of Maisel blankers. The authors note that the optimal sid...
