Madran, Emre (Middle East Technical University, Faculty of Architecture, 1997-3-24)
Artefacts of earlier civilizations have always been of interest and they have been detected, documented, and subjected to preservation activities, and thus, some have continued their existence. The nature of this interest and attitudes towards artefacts are variable in time according to social and cultural conditions. This research aims to examine the attitudes, legal and fiscal aspects, and institutions related with 'historical properties' and 'preservation' in Turkey, between 1920- 1950.

Madran, Emre (Middle East Technical University, Faculty of Architecture, 1996-1-01)
