In the title compound, C31H35NO3, the central heterocyclic ring of the octahydroacridinedione system is planar while the outer two rings each adopt an envelope conformation. The buckling angle between the two halves is 8.52 (3)degrees, which shows the relative planarity of the decahydroacridinedione system. The dihedral angle between the planes of the two aromatic rings is 7.55 (7)degrees. The crystal structure is stabilized by two intermolecular C-(HO)-O-... hydrogen bonds that generate C(10) chains and an R-2(2)(16) ring motif. A weak C-H-...pi interaction further stabilizes the structure.

1,2-Dibromo-5-(4-tolylsulfonyl)-2,2a,4a,5,7a,7b-hexahydro-1H-7-oxa5-azacyclobuta[e]inden-6-one
Sahin, Ertan; Kelebekli, Latif; Kara, Yunus; Celik, Murat; Balcı, Metin (2007-05-01)
The title compound C16H15Br2NO4S, contains a central cyclohexene ring with cyclobutane and oxazolidinone groups fused to it. All the substituents, including the oxazolidinone group and the bromine atoms, are on the same side of the fused four- and six-membered rings (syn conformation). The two bromine atoms are cis to each other.
1SR,2SR,3SR,4RS,5RS,6RS,7SR,8RS)-7,8-dichlorobicyclo[4.2.0]octa-2,3,4,5-tetrayl tetraacetate
Sahin, Ertan; Kelebekli, Latif; Kara, Yunus; Balcı, Metin (International Union of Crystallography (IUCr), 2006-07-01)
In the title compound, C16H20Cl2O8, the bicyclic system contains a central non-planar cyclohexane ring which is fused to a cyclobutane moiety. The cyclohexane ring has a chair conformation and the whole system adopts a syn conformation. The structure provides information on the stereochemical course of the chlorination, photo-oxidation and hydroxylation steps of the reaction.
Parametric investigation of a new multi-band metamaterial design: U-shaped multiple ring magnetic resonators
Turkmen, Oznur; Ekmekci, Evren; Sayan, Gönül (2011-07-08)
In this study, a new multi-band metamaterial structure is proposed based on a unit cell that has multiple U-shaped metal rings printed one inside the other. The number of distinct magnetic resonances is determined by the number of U-shaped rings placed in the unit cell. Using three rings in this paper, three distinct resonance frequencies can be shifted to desired values simply by changing the design parameters which are the metal width w, ring to ring separation s, arm length along y axis for each ring (h(...
A two-dimensional Monte Carlo polymerization of 5-membered rings
Esentürk, Okan; YURTSEVER, E (1997-01-01)
A modification of the kinetic growth model in two dimensions for the polymerization of 5-membered rings is presented. The preliminary results reveal the validity of the modified model.
2-Hydroxy-5,5-dimethylcyclohex-2-en-1-one
Ulku, D; Tahir, MN; Tanyeli, Cihangir; Demir, AS; DİKİCİ, E (1997-12-15)
The structure of the title compound, C8H12O2, which is a rearrangement product of the reaction of 6-hydroxy-4,4-dimethylcyclohex-2-en-1-one and 4-dimethylaminopyridine has been identified as 2-hydroxy-5,5-dimethylcyclohex-2-en-1-one, The C atom of the six-membered ring connected to the two methyl groups is 0.617(2)Angstrom out of the least-squares plane defined by the other C atoms of the rin. The unit cell consists of discrete molecules with intra-and intermolecular hydrogen bonds.
