Co, Pb and CoPb containing SBA15 mesoporous materials were prepared by direct synthesis method. When Co and Pb were loaded simultaneously, nanoparticles were formed in the channels of SBA15 as observed by transmission electron microscopy. These nanoparticles blocked the pores and decreased the apparent surface areas indicated by BET analysis. Pyridine adsorption on these catalysts revealed that while monometallic additions did not influence the overall acidity of SBA15, in the bimetallic system, characteristic bands due to pyridine adsorption on Co2+ ions were observed.

In this work, the method of enzyme adsorption on different zeolites and mesoporous silica spheres (MSS) was investigated for the creation of conductometric biosensors. The conductometric transducers consisted of gold interdigitated electrodes were placed on the ceramic support. The transducers were modified with zeolites and MSS, and then the enzymes were adsorbed on the transducer surface. Different methods of zeolite attachment to the transducer surface were used; drop coating with heating to 200°C turned...

Sulfated zirconia in SBA-15 structures with strong Bronsted acidity as observed by H-1 MAS NMR spectroscopy
Yılmaz, Ayşen; Yılmaz, Aysun; Üner, Deniz (2007-05-01)
In order to prepare high surface area highly acidic catalysts, different weight loadings of ZrO2 were incorporated in the SBA-15 structures which are subsequently sulfated by treating in 0.25 M H2SO4. The catalysts were characterized by means of TEM, XRD, N-2 adsorption, and H-1 MAS NMR. Bronsted type acidities of sulfated zirconia included SBA-15 materials were identified by a sharp H-1 MAS NMR line at 10.6 ppm. The highest acidity was obtained in the 25 mol% ZrO2 included SBA-15 catalyst with a BET surfac...
Chain-extended bismaleimides .1. Preparation and characterization of maleimide-terminated resins
Yerlikaya, Z; Oktem, Z; Bayramlı, Erdal (1996-01-03)
Starting from aromatic diamines, a series of bismaleimides (BMIs) and maleimide-terminated structural resins were prepared in solution and characterized. Maleimide-terminated resins were prepared through Michael addition reaction with 3/2 molar ratio of bismaleimide and aromatic diamine as reactants. The structural analysis was performed by FTIR and H-1-NMR spectroscopy. Thermal properties are investigated by TGA, DTA, and DSC. Number-average molecular-weights of the resins were determined by cryoscopy. The...
Dimethyl ether from syngas and effect of CO2 sorption on product distribution over a new bifunctional catalyst pair containing STA@SBA-15
ÇELİK ÖZCAN, MERVE; PEKMEZCİ KARAMAN, BİRCE; OKTAR, NURAY; Doğu, Timur (2022-12-01)
Direct synthesis of dimethyl ether (DME) from syngas was investigated in the presence of a bifunctional catalyst pair containing silicotungstic acid (STA) incorporated SBA-15 (5, 10, 25% by wt. STA) for the in-situ dehydration of synthesized methanol. The methanol synthesis component of this catalyst mixture is a Cu/ZnO-based commercial (HF) catalytic material. The new STA@SBA-15 type solid acid catalysts synthesized in this study indicated ordered mesoporous structures with surface area values in the range...
