Energy calibration and resolution of the CMS electromagnetic calorimeter in pp collisions at root s=7 TeV
Chatrchyan, S.; et. al. (IOP Publishing, 2013-09-01)
The energy calibration and resolution of the electromagnetic calorimeter (ECAL) of the CMS detector have been determined using proton-proton collision data from LHC operation in 2010 and 2011 at a centre-of-mass energy of root s = 7 TeV with integrated luminosities of about 5 fb(-1). Crucial aspects of detector operation, such as the environmental stability, alignment, and synchronozation, are presented. The in-situ calibration procedures are discussed in detail and include the maintenance of the calibratio...
Energy band gap and oscillator parameters of Ga4Se3S single crystals
Qasrawi, A. F.; Hasanlı, Nızamı (Elsevier BV, 2007-06-01)
The optical properties of the Bridgman method grown Ga4Se3S crystals have been investigated by means of room temperature, transmittance and reflectance spectral analysis. The optical data have revealed an indirect allowed transition band gap of 2.08 eV. The room temperature refractive index, which was calculated from the reflectance and transmittance data, allowed the identification of the dispersion and oscillator energies, static dielectric constant and static refractive index as 21.08 and 3.85 eV, 6.48 a...
Energy Band Diagram And Current Transport Mechanism In p-MgO/n-Ga4Se3S
QASRAWI, ATEF FAYEZ HASAN; Hasanlı, Nızamı (2015-01-01)
A p-n heterojunction made of MgO and Ga4Se3S single crystal has been successfully produced. The current-voltage curve analysis has shown that the current conduction mechanism is mostly governed by the Richardson-Schottky mechanism. The width of the effective interface region of the p-n junction was found to be 3.72x10(-5)cm. The work function and the electron affinity of the Ga4Se3S crystals were also determined as 4.32 and 3.96 eV, respectively. On the other hand, the capacitance-voltage curve analysis, wh...
Energy spectrum of extended Hubbard model with spin-dependent hopping and related spin ladder model
Cheranovskii, VO; Ezerskaya, EV; Özkan, İlker (2002-06-15)
We studied the energy spectrum of the 1-D extended Hubbard model with spin-dependent hopping and related spin ladder system formed by two coupled XXZ spin 1/2 chains with the interchain interaction of Ising type. It was proved that the model excitation spectrum has no gap excepting some special values of z-projection of the ground-state total spin. The thorough analytic consideration of two-magnon states was given. The existence tip to five bound states at specified value of quasimomentum of the pair of inv...
