The Copler Au deposit (measured and indicated resource of 122.8 million tonnes at 1.7 g/t Au, 4.8 g/t Ag, and 0.1 wt % Cu) is centered around shallow-level dioritic to granodioritic intrusive rocks of the middle Eocene Copler-Kabatas, magmatic complex, which have been emplaced into a succession of regionally metamorphosed late Paleozoic-Mesozoic sedimentary and carbonate rocks.

Fluids along the North Anatolian Fault, Niksar basin, north central Turkey: Insight from stable isotopic and geochemical analysis of calcite veins
Sturrock, Colin P.; Catlos, Elizabeth J.; Miller, Nathan R.; AKGÜN, AYKUT; Fall, Andras; Gabitov, Rinat I.; Yılmaz, İsmail Ömer; Larson, Toti; Black, Karen N. (2017-08-01)
Six limestone assemblages along the North Anatolian Fault (NAF) Niksar pull-apart basin in northern Turkey were analyzed for delta O-18(PDB) and delta C-13(PDB) using bulk isotope ratio mass spectrometry (IRMS). Matrix vein differences in delta O-18(PDB) (-2.1 to 6.3 parts per thousand) and delta C-13(PDB) (-0.9 to 4.6 parts per thousand) suggest a closed fluid system and rock buffering. Veins in one travertine and two limestone assemblages were further subjected to cathodoluminescence, trace element (Laser...
An example of an accretionary fore-arc basın from Northern Central Anatolia and its implicaiıons for the history of subduction of neo-tethys in Turkey
KOCYIGIT, A (1991-01-01)
Deformed sedimentary sequences of Late Cretaceous-middle Eocene age located between the Sakarya continent and the Anatolian Complex have been interpreted as the fill of a forearc basin. The history and structure of this basin are critical for understanding the evolution of the Neo-Tethyan subduction in the Middle East. I test and elaborate upon this interpretation on the basis of three basic outcrop areas of Upper Cretaceous-lower Tertiary sedimentary sequences confined to a northeast-southwest-trending b...
Implications of Jurassic chert identified in the Tokat Complex, northern Turkey
Bozkurt, Erdin; Kocyigit, A (1997-01-01)
The Tokat Complex is a strongly deformed tectono-sedimentary mixture of low-grade metamorphic rocks with abundant recrystallized limestone and relatively rare serpentinite and radiolarian chert in blocks of variable size. Samples from the radiolarian chert blocks, found in highly crushed zones, each of which corresponds to a thrust sheet within an imbricate thrust zone, have yielded a Tithonian fossil assemblage. They are interpreted as tectonic inclusions emplaced within the Tokat Complex after its main po...
HEAVY-METAL CONCENTRATIONS IN SURFACE SEDIMENTS FROM THE 2 COASTAL INLETS (GOLDEN HORN ESTUARY AND IZMIT BAY) OF THE NORTHEASTERN SEA OF MARMARA
ERGIN, M; SAYDAM, C; BASTURK, O; ERDEM, E; YORUK, R (1991-09-05)
A total of 57 surficial sediment samples collected in the Golden Horn Estuary and Izmit Bay (northeastern Marmara Sea) was analyzed for the heavy metals Fe, Mn, Cr, Ni, Co, Zn, Pb, and Cu and the results were compared with various natural and anthropogenic sources.
Tectonic history of basins sited along the western section of the North Anatolian Fault System, Turkey
SARP, Gülcan; Gurboga, Sule; Toprak, Vedat; Duzgun, Sebnem (2014-01-01)
Geological and geomorphological features of basins along the western half of the North Anatolian Fault System (NAFS) are used to constrain the formation of these basins by localization of deformation and the total displacement, and to determine the timing of basin development. In this study, tectonic influence direction of the NAFS on tectonic and hydrologic basins Bolu, Yenicaga, Dortdivan, Cerkes, Ilgaz and Tosya has been investigated to deduce information about the formation stages and interaction betwee...
