Studies of dijet transverse momentum balance and pseudorapidity distributions in pPb collisions at root s(NN)=5.02 TeV
Chatrchyan, S.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2014-07-01)
Dijet production has been measured in collisions at a nucleon-nucleon centre-of-mass energy of 5.02. A data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 35 was collected using the Compact Muon Solenoid detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The dijet transverse momentum balance, azimuthal angle correlations, and pseudorapidity distributions are studied as a function of the transverse energy in the forward calorimeters (). For collisions, the dijet transverse momentum ratio and the width of the distri...

Investigations of spinodal dynamics in asymmetric nuclear matter within a stochastic relativistic model
Yılmaz, Osman; ACAR, FERİDE PINAR; Saatci, S.; GÖKALP, AHMET (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2013-03-01)
Early development of spinodal instabilities and density correlation functions in asymmetric nuclear matter are investigated in the stochastic extension of the Walecka-type relativistic mean field including coupling with rho meson. Calculations are performed under typical conditions encountered in heavy-ion collisions and in the crusts of neutron stars. In general, growth of instabilities occur relatively slower for increasing charge asymmetry of matter. At higher densities around rho = 0.4 rho(0) fluctuatio...
Investigations of pulsational properties and evolution of propagation diagram in some delta Scuti star models
Kiziloglu, N; Kirbiyik, H; Civelek, R (World Scientific Pub Co Pte Lt, 2003-07-01)
An investigation on the subject of evolution of propagation diagrams and obtaining the theoretical frequency spectrum of some delta Scuti star models with masses around 2 M-circle dot has been presented. The variations of some eigenfunctions throughout the star, the variation of omega(2) with logT(e) and the distribution of nodes of eigenfunctions of some modes along with the evolution of the star have been plotted and examined. For the models at the ZAMS phase, pure acoustic modes in the outer stellar laye...
Studies of Charm Quark Diffusion inside Jets Using Pb-Pb and pp Collisions at root s(NN)=5.02 TeV
Sirunyan, A. M.; et. al. (American Physical Society (APS), 2020-09-01)
The first study of charm quark diffusion with respect to the jet axis in heavy ion collisions is presented. The measurement is performed using jets with p(T)(jet) > 60 GeV/c and D-0 mesons with p(T)(D) > 4 GeV/c in lead-lead (Pb-Pb) and proton-proton (pp) collisions at a nucleon-nucleon center-of-mass energy of root s(NN) = 5.02 TeV, recorded by the CMS detector at the LHC. The radial distribution of D-0 mesons with respect to the jet axis is sensitive to the production mechanisms of the meson, as well as t...
