Flavor-changing neutral currents transition of the Sigma(Q) to nucleon in full QCD and heavy quark effective theory
AZİZİ, KAZEM; BAYAR, MELAHAT; Zeyrek, Mehmet Tevfik (IOP Publishing, 2010-08-01)
The loop-level flavor-changing neutral currents transitions of the Sigma(b) -> nl(+)l(-) and Sigma(c) -> pl(+)l(-) are investigated in full QCD and heavy quark effective theory in the light cone QCD sum rules approach. Using the most general form of the interpolating current for Sigma(Q), Q = b or c, as members of the recently discovered sextet heavy baryons with spin 1/2 and containing one heavy quark, the transition form factors are calculated using two sets of input parameters entering the nucleon distri...
Flavor changing neutral current processes in the framework of the two Higgs doublet model
Turan, İsmail; İltan, Erhan Onur; Department of Physics (2003)
It is widely believed that the Standard Model (SM) can not be a fundamental theory of the basic interactions. Originated from this fact, many new physics models have been proposed. Among them, the two Higgs doublet model (2HDM), the SM enlarged by adding one extra scalar doublet, is considered as the simplest extension of the SM. In this work, within the framework of the model III version of the 2HDM, the exclusive decay the branching ratio is calculated and discussed in various physical regions determined ...
Phase mixing in GaSb nanocrystals synthesized by nonequilibrium plasma aerotaxy
Üner, Necip Berker; Thimsen, Elijah (2020-05-01)
III-V semiconductor nanocrystals are an important class of optoelectronic materials. However, the gas-phase synthesis of these materials, especially of the stibnides, has been left relatively unexplored. In this study, we demonstrate the synthesis of free-standing GaSb nanocrystals for the first time, using a novel gas-phase process. We show that when elemental aerosols are used as precursors for Ga and Sb, the elements mix at the nanometer length scale as the aerosols pass through a nonequilibrium plasma r...
CP violation in the B -> Kl(+)l(-) decay
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Cornell, A. S.; Gaur, Naveen (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2007-02-01)
Standard model (SM) CP asymmetries in B -> Kl(+)l(-) are expected to be very small. This feature could help in the understanding of new physics scenarios which predict the existence of CP odd phases in various Wilson coefficients. In this paper we have analyzed the B -> Kl(+)l(-) decay in scenarios beyond the SM where the Wilson coefficients have new CP odd phases. The sensitivity of the CP asymmetries on these new weak phases is discussed.
CP violation in the inclusive b -> sg decay in the framework of multi-Higgs-doublet models
Goksu, A; Iltan, EO; Solmaz, L (American Physical Society (APS), 2001-09-01)
We study the decay width and CP asymmetry of the inclusive process b-->sg (g denotes gluon) in the multi-Higgs-doublet models with complex Yukawa couplings, including next to leading QCD corrections. We analyze the dependences of the decay width and CP asymmetry on the scale mu and CP-violating parameter theta. We observe that there exists an enhancement in the decay width and CP asymmetry is at the order of 10(-2).
