Perforated Panel System Proposal for Variable Acoustic Solutions
Eşmebaşı, Merve; Tanyer, Ali Murat; Çalışkan, Mehmet (null; 2017-08-30)
In this paper, a variable acoustic system proposal which provides a flexible adaptation range for different functions or audience sizes is investigated. In order to achieve the aimed variable acoustic system, perforated panel systems’ sound absorption capabilities are examined. Changes in perforation characteristics; hole shape, diameter, central distance and perforation ratio, studied with physical models throughout the research. The physical model is controlled by a digital interface which is designed by ...

Finite volume simulation of viscoelastic laminar flow in a lid-driven cavity
Yapici, Kerim; Karasözen, Bülent; Uludağ, Yusuf (2009-12-01)
A finite volume technique is presented for the numerical solution of steady laminar flow of Oldroyd-B fluid in a lid-driven square cavity over a wide range of Reynolds and Weissenberg numbers. Second order central difference (CD) scheme is used for the convection part of the momentum equation while first order upwind approximation is employed to handle viscoelastic stresses. A non-uniform collocated grid system is used. Momentum interpolation method (MIM) is used to evaluate face velocity. Coupled mass and ...
Cellulose ultrafiltration membranes for cleaning solvent wastes of photolithography process
Savaş, Aygen; Çulfaz Emecen, Pınar Zeynep (2020-12-07)
Photolithography, the process used to transfer shapes and patterns on semiconductors, uses a number of solvents such as acetone, n-methyl pyrrolidone and propylene glycol monomethyl ether acetate (PGMEA), to clean surfaces and remove photoresists used throughout the patterning process. Cleaning these solvents for recycle in the photolithography process or for other purposes can have significant impact on the environmental burden of electronics manufacturing. Cellulose is a natur...
