We show that Bonnor's new anti-de Sitter (AdS) universe (Class. Quantum Grav. 25 225005) and its D-dimensional generalization are the previously studied AdS soliton.

Energy distribution in Reissner-Nordstrom anti-de Sitter black holes in the Moller prescription
Salti, M.; Aydogdu, O. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2006-07-01)
The energy (due to matter plus fields including gravity) distribution of the Reissner-Nordstrom anti-de Sitter (RN AdS) black holes is studied by using the Moller energy-momentum definition in general relativity. This result is compared with the energy expression obtained by using the Einstein and Tolman complexes. The total energy depends on the black hole mass M and charge Q and the cosmological constant A. The energy distribution of the RN AdS is also calculated by using the M phi ller prescription in te...
Summary of the CMS potential for the Higgs boson discovery
Abdullin, S.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2005-02-01)
This work summarizes the studies for the Higgs boson searches in CMS at the LHC collider. The main discovery channels are presented and the potential is given for the discovery of the SM Higgs boson and the Higgs bosons of the MSSM. The phenomenology, detector, trigger and reconstruction issues are briefly discussed.
Multidimensional quantum tunneling in the Schwinger effect
Dumlu, Cesim K. (American Physical Society (APS), 2016-03-22)
We study the Schwinger effect, in which the external field having a spatiotemporal profile creates electron-positron pairs via multidimensional quantum tunneling. Our treatment is based on the trace formula for the QED effective action, whose imaginary part is represented by a sum over complex worldline solutions. The worldlines are multiperiodic, and the periods of motion collectively depend on the strength of spatial and temporal inhomogeneity. We argue that the classical action that leads to the correct ...
Electromagnetic mass differences of nucleons and Δ-baryons in the skyrme model
Ebrahim, A. ; Savcı, Mustafa (1989-08-17)
The numerical values predicted for the electromagnetic mass differences of nucleons and Δ-baryons in the Skyrme model are obtained and inaccuracies in previously reported values are pointed out.
Forward energy flow, central charged-particle multiplicities, and pseudorapidity gaps in W and Z boson events from pp collisions at root s=7 TeV
Chatrchyan, S.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2012-01-01)
A study of forward energy flow and central charged-particle multiplicity in events with W and Z bosons decaying into leptons is presented. The analysis uses a sample of 7 TeV pp collisions, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 36 pb(-1), recorded by the CMS experiment at the LHC. The observed forward energy depositions, their correlations, and the central charged-particle multiplicities are not well described by the available non-diffractive soft-hadron production models. A study of about 300 events...
