Magnetohydrodynamic Flow Imaging Using Spin-Echo Pulse Sequence
Eroğlu, Hasan Hüseyin; SADIGHI, MEHDI; Eyüboğlu, Behçet Murat (2019-04-24)
In this study, magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) flow of conductive liquids due to injection of electrical current during magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is investigated. A spin-echo based MRI pulse sequence is proposed to image the MHD flow. Magnetic resonance (MR) phase effects of the MHD flow is related to the MRI pulse parameters and injected current. Average velocity distributions of the MHD flow are reconstructed using the MR phase images. The method is validated by numerical simulations. The reconstruction ...
MAGNETOHYDRODYNAMIC FLOW ON A HALF-PLANE
Tezer, Münevver (Wiley, 1988-07-01)
We investigate the magnetohydrodynamic flow (MHD) on the upper, half of a non‐conducting plane for the case when the flow is driven by the current produced by an electrode placed in the middle of the plane. The applied magnetic field is perpendicular to the plane, the flow is laminar, uniform, steady and incompressible. An analytical solution has been developed for the velocity field and the induced magnetic field by reducing the problem to the solution of a Fredholm's integral equation of the second kind, ...
MAGNETOHYDRODYNAMIC FLOW IN A RECTANGULAR DUCT
Tezer, Münevver (Wiley, 1987-07-01)
Magnetohydrodynamic Flow in a Rectangular Duct
Bozkaya, Canan (2018-12-02)
The magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) flow of an incompressible, viscous and electrically conducting fluid in a rectangular duct with insulated and perfectly conducting walls is investigated numerically in the presence of hydrodynamic slip. The flow is fully developed and driven by a constant pressure gradient in the axial direction under the effect of an externally applied uniform and inclined magnetic field. A direct boundary element method (BEM) using a fundamental solution which enables to treat the governing M...
