Low Temperature Oxidation of Heavy Oils
Kök, Mustafa Verşan (2018-10-19)
Low temperature thermoluminescence of Gd2O3 nanoparticles using various heating rate and T-max - T-exc. methods
Delice, Serdar; IŞIK, MEHMET; Hasanlı, Nızamı (Elsevier BV, 2019-03-01)
Thermoluminescence (FL) measurements for Gd2O3 nanoparticles were carried out for various heating rates between 0.3 and 0.8 K/s at low temperatures (10-280 K). TL spectrum exhibited two observable and one faint peaks in the temperature region of 10-100 K, and four peaks in the temperature region of 160-280 K. Heating rate analysis was achieved to understand the behaviors of trap levels. It was seen that the peak maximum temperatures and TL intensities of all peaks increase with increasing heating rate. This...
Low temperature formation of calcium-deficient hydroxyapatite-PLA/PLGA composites
Durucan, Caner (2000-09-15)
Hydroxyapatite-biodegradable polymer composites have been formed by a low temperature chemical route. Precomposite structures were prepared by combining alpha-Ca-3(PO4)(2) (alpha-tricalcium phosphate or alpha-TCP) with poly(L-lactic) acid and poly(DL-lactide-co-glycolide) copolymers. The final composite structure was achieved by in situ hydrolysis of alpha-TCP to Ca-9(HPO4)(PO4)(5)OH (calcium deficient hydroxyapatite or CDHAp) either in solvent cast or pressed precomposites. Hydrolysis was performed at 56 d...
Low temperature excitation transfer in the FMO complex. Simulations.
Iseri, EI; Gulen, D (1998-08-22)
Electronic excited state (EES) models for the Fenna-Matthews-Olson (FMO) antenna complex of the green bacterium P. aestuarii have generally been based on obtaining an optimal match between the information contents of the optical steady-state spectra and the molecular organization [1-4]. Recent spectral and kinetic information gathered from probing the excited state processes through ultrafast measurements [5-7] have not yet been used effectively for further refinement of the EES and for quantification of th...
Low temperature oxidation of carbon monoxide over alkali-metal promoted palladium-tin oxide catalysts
MİRKELAMOĞLU, Burcu; Karakaş, Gürkan (2005-09-17)
The CO oxidation activity of sol-gel prepared tin dioxide based palladium and sodium-palladium promoted catalysts were investigated by XRD, XPS, DRIFTS and temperature programmed desorption techniques. XPS data suggests that alkali-metal promotion results in the formation of super-oxide species and promotes the surface segregation of Pd atoms, increasing the number of active sites for CO adsorption/oxidation. The formation of a ternary oxide of sodium and palladium is Postulated. Through sub-ambient TPD exp...
