c-functions in the Born-Infeld extended new massive gravity
Gullu, Ibrahim; Sisman, Tahsin Cagri; Tekin, Bayram (American Physical Society (APS), 2010-07-27)
We derive and study the equations of motion of the Born-Infeld extension of new massive gravity for globally and asymptotically (anti-) de Sitter spaces, and show that the assumptions of the null-energy condition and holography (that bounds the c-function) lead to two simple c-functions, one of which is equivalent to the c-function of Einstein's gravity. We also show that, at the fixed point, the c-function gives the central charge of the Virasoro algebra and the coefficient of the Weyl anomaly up to a cons...
C³: configurable CAN FD controller: design, implementation and evaluation
Afşin, Mehmet Ertuğ; Schmidt, Şenan Ece; Schmidt, Klaus Werner; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2018)
CAN FD (Controller Area Network with Flexible Data Rate) is a new communication standard, compatible with CAN. Different from CAN, CAN FD switches to high data rate during data transmission and allows payloads up to 64 bytes. In this thesis, we propose C3: Configurable CAN FD Controller which features up to fully configurable 96 TX and 96 RX buffers organized as mailboxes. Each RX buffer has dedicated acceptance filters. The host MCU sees C3 as a memory mapped device and interfaces with it via SPI protocol ...
N-structure based on InAs/AlSb/GaSb superlattice photodetectors
HOŞTUT, MUSTAFA; ALYÖRÜK, MUSTAFA MENDERES; TANSEL, TUNAY; KILIÇ, ALİ YAVUZ; Turan, Raşit; AYDINLI, ATİLLA; ERGÜN, YÜKSEL (Elsevier BV, 2015-03-01)
We have studied the theoretical and experimental properties of InAs/AlSb/GaSb based type-II superlattice (T2SL) pin photodetector called N-structure. Electronic properties of the superlattice such as HH-LH splitting energies was investigated using first principles calculations taking into account InSb and AlAs as possible interface transition alloys between AlSb/InAs layers and individual layer thicknesses of GaSb and InAs. T2SL N-structure was optimized to operate as a MWIR detector based on these theoreti...
C-H bond activation of methane on M- and MO-ZSM-5 (M = Ag, Au, Cu, Rh and Ru) clusters: A density functional theory study
Fellah, Mehmet Ferdi; Önal, Işık (2011-08-10)
Density functional theory (DFT) calculations were carried out in a study of C-H bond activation of methane on [(SiH3)(4)AlO4(M, MO)] (where M = Ag, Au, Cu, Rh and Ru) cluster models representing ZSM-5 surfaces. The following activity order of clusters with respect to their activation barriers could be qualitatively classified: Au >> Rh > Cu = Ru > Ag for metal-ZSM-5 clusters and Ag > Cu > Au >> Rh > Ru for Metal-O-ZSM-5 clusters. Therefore, activation barriers based on transition state calculations showed t...
C D-0(K, E) and C D-omega(K, E)-spaces as Banach lattices
Alpay, S; Ercan, Z (2000-01-01)
Banach lattices CD0(K,E) and CDomega(K,E) are introduced and lattice-norm properties of these spaces are investigated. We identify the centre and order continuous dual of these spaces.
