The Stokes parameters xi1 and xi2 for one of the produced photons, which characterize the T-odd (and P-odd) linear polarization and P-odd circular polarization in the B(s(d)) --> gammagamma decay are calculated. We show that these parameters are very sensitive to the t-quark mass for the B(s) --> gammagamma decay and also to the sign and the absolute value of the ratio V(ub)/V(td) of the elements of Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix for the B(d) --> 2gamma decay, in the framework of the Standard Model. It is further shown that in the two Higgs doublet model, there is some region of parameters (namely the mass of the charged physical Higgs and vacuum expectation values) where the predictions for the polarization effects of the photons differ from the Standard Model prediction considerably.

SPIN EFFECTS IN THE RADIATIVE B-]S-GAMMA-G DECAY OF A POLARIZED B-QUARK
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; REKALO, MP (1995-09-01)
Using the general formalism of structure functions (SF's), the polarization effects in the rare radiative decay of polarized b quarks, b --> s gamma g, are analyzed. Parametrizing the matrix element for the decay b --> s gamma g in terms of weak magnetic moments, which describe the transitions b --> s gamma and b --> sg, we find exact expressions for the SF's which are valid for a wide class of models for the FCNC's. We demonstrated that the different asymmetries in this decay are very sensitive to the mode...
The b -> sgg decay in the two and three Higgs doublet models with CP violating effects
Goksu, A; Iltan, EO; Solmaz, L (2001-04-20)
We study the decay width and CP asymmetry of the inclusive process b --> sgg (g denotes gluon) in the three and two Higgs doublet models with complex Yukawa couplings. We analyze the dependencies of the differential decay width and CP asymmetry to the s-quark energy E-s and CP violating parameter theta. We observe that there exist a considerable enhancement in the decay width and CP asymmetry is at the order of 10(-2). Further, it is possible to predict the sign of C-7(eff) using the CP asymmetry.
The exclusive B -> (K, K*)l(+)l(-) decays in a CP softly broken two Higgs doublet model
Erkol, G; Turan, Gürsevil (2002-07-22)
We study the differential branching ratio, forward-backward asymmetry, CP-violating asymmetry, CP-violating asymmetry in the forward-backward asymmetry and polarization asymmetries in the B --> Kl(+)l(-) and B --> K*l(+)l(-) decays in the context of a CP softly broken two Higgs doublet model. We analyze the dependencies of these observables on the model parameters by paying a special attention to the effects of neutral Higgs boson (NHB) exchanges and possible CP-violating effects. We find that NHB effects a...
B-s ->tau(+)tau(-)gamma decay in the general two Higgs doublet model including the neutral Higgs boson effects
Erkol, G; Turan, Gürsevil (2002-05-01)
We investigate the differential branching ratio, the branching ratio, differential forward-backward asymmetry, forward-backward asymmetry of the lepton pair, and lepton polarization asymmetry of the exclusive B-s-->tau(+)tau(-)gamma decay in the general two Higgs doublet model including the neutral Higgs boson effects. We analyze the dependences of these quantities on the model parameters and also on the neutral Higgs boson effects. We find that they get considerable enhancement from the two Higgs doublet m...
New physics effects to the lepton polarizations in the B -> Kl(+)l(-) decay
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Özpineci, Altuğ; Savcı, Mustafa (2001-09-01)
Using the general, model independent form of the effective Hamiltonian, the general expressions of the longitudinal, normal, and transversal polarization asymmetries for l(-) and l(+) and combinations of them for the exclusive B-->Kl(+)l(-) decay are found. The sensitivity of lepton polarizations and their combinations on new Wilson coefficients are studied. It is found that there exist regions of Wilson coefficients for which the branching ratio coincides with the standard model result while the lepton pol...
