A comparision of object oriented size evaluation techniques
Sırakaya, Hatice Sinem; Demirörs, Onur; Department of Information Systems (2003)
Popular Object Oriented size metrics and estimation methods are examined. A case study is conducted. Five of the methods (أLOCؤ, أOOPSؤ, أUse Case Points Methodؤ, أJ.Kammelar̕s Sizing Approachؤ and أMark II FPؤ) are applied to a project whose requirements are defined by means of use cases. Size and effort estimations are made and compared with the actual results of the project.
A HEAT-TRANSFER CORRELATION FOR LIQUID-SOLID FLOWS IN HORIZONTAL PIPES
OZBELGE, TA; SOMER, TG (Elsevier BV, 1994-08-01)
Heat transfer from a solid surface to a fluid-solid suspension in vertical or horizontal transport is of importance in the design of heat-exchangers, driers, fluidized beds, and slurry pipeline reactors. There are fewer studies on heat transfer in liquid-solid flows than on gas-solid flows. In this paper, a correlation for heat transfer to dilute liquid-solid flows in a horizontal pipe is presented. Suspension properties were used to derive the following equation: Nu(s) = 0.202Res0.6Prs0.675(D/d(p))0.092(mu...
A BASIS SET COMPARISON IN A VARIATIONAL SCHEME FOR THE YUKAWA POTENTIAL
DEMIRALP, M; BAYKARA, NA; Taşeli, Hasan (1992-01-01)
The variational method is used to obtain solutions to Schrodinger's equation for a particle in the radially screened Yukawa potential. A basis set is presented. While the Laguerre basis set shows considerable improvement over the hydrogenic one, problems are still encountered as the screening parameter approaches its threshold value. Variational calculations are also presented using an Eckart-type basis set which looks promising near the critical screening region.
