The extensions of the minimal supersymmetric model (MSSM), driving mainly from the need to solve the mu problem, involve novel matter species and gauge groups. These extended MSSM models can be searched for at the LHC via the effects of the gauge and Higgs bosons or their fermionic partners. Traditionally, the focus has been on the study of the extra forces induced by the new gauge and Higgs bosons present in such models. An alternative way of studying such effects is through the superpartners of matter species and the gauge forces. We thus consider a U(1)' gauge extension of the MSSM, and perform an extensive study of the signatures of the model through the production and decays of the scalar quarks and gluino, which are expected to be produced copiously at the LHC. After a detailed study of the distinctive features of such models with regard to the signatures at the LHC, we carry out a detailed Monte Carlo analysis of the signals from the process pp -> n leptons + m jets + is not an element of(T), and compare the resulting distributions with those predicted by the MSSM. Our results show that the searches for the extra gauge interactions in the supersymmetric framework can proceed not only through the forces mediated by the gauge and Higgs bosons but also through the superpartner forces mediated by the gauge and Higgs fermions. Analysis of the events induced by the squark/gluino decays presented here is complementary to the direct Z' searches at the LHC.

Search for Pair Production of Third-Generation Leptoquarks and Top Squarks in pp Collisions at root s=7 TeV
Chatrchyan, S.; et. al. (American Physical Society (APS), 2013-02-01)
Results are presented from a search for the pair production of third-generation scalar and vector leptoquarks, as well as for top squarks in R-parity-violating supersymmetric models. In either scenario, the new, heavy particle decays into a tau lepton and a b quark. The search is based on a data sample of pp collisions at root s = 7 TeV, which is collected by the CMS detector at the LHC and corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 4.8 fb(-1). The number of observed events is found to be in agreement with ...
Search for electroweak production of charginos and neutralinos using leptonic final states in pp collisions at root s=7 TeV
Chatrchyan, S.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2012-11-01)
The 2011 dataset of the CMS experiment, consisting of an integrated luminosity of 4.98 fb(-1) of pp collisions at root s = 7 TeV, enables expanded searches for direct electroweak pair production of charginos and neutralinos in supersymmetric models as well as their analogs in other models of new physics. Searches sensitive to such processes, with decays to final states that contain two or more leptons, are presented. Final states with three leptons, with a same-sign lepton pair, and with an opposite-sign le...
A Modified Inverse Eigensensitivity Method for Large Finite Element Models
Unlu, Dogus; Ciğeroğlu, Ender; Özgen, Gökhan Osman (2016-01-28)
Finite element models should represent the dynamic behavior of real structures accurately to be subsequently used in design purposes. Therefore, finite element model updating methods have been developed in order to decrease the difference between analytical model and modal test results. In this paper, inverse eigensensitivity method as a sensitivity-based model updating method is summarized. Inverse eigensensitivity method with improved sensitivity computation which decreases the total calculation time of t...
Search for standard model production of four top quarks in the lepton plus jets channel in pp collisions at root S=8 TeV
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2014-11-01)
A search is presented for standard model (SM) production of four top quarks (WO in pp collisions in the lepton + jets channel. The data correspond to an integrated luminosity of 19.6 fb(-1) recorded at a centre-of-mass energy of 8 TeV with the CMS detector at the CERN LHC. The expected cross section for SM t (t) over bart (t) over bar production is sigma(SM)(t ($t) over bart (t) over bar) approximate to 1 fb. A combination of kinematic reconstruction and multivariate techniques is used to distinguish betwee...
Search for extra dimensions in diphoton events from proton–proton collisions at $\sqrt {s} = 7\,$ TeV in the ATLAS detector at the LHC
Aad, G.; et. al. (IOP Publishing, 2013-4-4)
The large difference between the Planck scale and the electroweak scale, known as the hierarchy problem, is addressed in certain models through the postulate of extra spatial dimensions. A search for evidence of extra spatial dimensions in the diphoton channel has been performed using the full set of proton-proton collisions at root s = 7 TeV recorded in 2011 with the ATLAS detector at the CERN Large Hadron Collider. This dataset corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 4.9 fb(-1). The diphoton invariant ...
