Anne-baba tutumlarının ve çocukların ilgili algısının çocuğun sosyal becerileri başta olmak üzere birçok farklı gelişimsel becerisine etki etmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı annelerin ebeveyn tutumları ile çocuklarının duygu tanıma becerileri arasındaki ilişkiyi, çocukların algıladığı ebeveyn tutumlarının aracı rolünü değerlendirerek araştırmaktır. Çalışmaya Ankara’da yaşayan 130 ilkokul ikinci sınıf öğrencisi ve anneleri katılmıştır. Çocuklar Kusche Duygu Envanteri ve Kısaltılmış Algılanan Ebeveyn Tutumları Çocuk Formu Ölçeğini (KAETÇ), anneler ise Ebeveyn Tutumları Ölçeğini (EÖT) ve demografik bilgi formu doldurmuşlardır.Yapılan aracı rol analizi sonucunda, duygusal sıcaklık düzeyi daha yüksek olan annelerin çocuklarının duygu tanıma becerilerinin daha yüksek olduğu ve reddedicilik düzeyi daha yüksek olan annelerin çocuklarının ise duygu tanıma becerilerinin daha düşük olduğu bulunmuştur. Bununla beraber, çocukların algıladığı duygusal sıcaklığın, annenin duygusal sıcaklık öz bildirimi ve çocuğun duygu tanıma becerisi arasındaki ilişkiyi pozitif yönde yordadığı saptanmıştır. Son olarak, çocukların algıladığı duygusal reddedici tutumunun,annenin reddedici tutum öz bildirimi ve çocuğun duygu tanıma becerisi arasındaki ilişkiyi negatif yönde yordadığı bulunmuştur. Aşırı koruyuculuk alt boyutunun ise herhangi yordayıcı bir rolü bulunamamıştır. Çalışmanın kısıtlılıkları ve gelecek çalışmalar için öneriler tartışılmıştır.
