Dynamic exchange coupling between two ferromagnetic cobalt (Co) thin films separated by a nonmagnetic silver (Ag) layer was investigated by means of ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) technique. Nonmagnetic Ag layer was sufficiently thick to suppress any magnetostatic coupling between the thin films of Co. Dynamical coupling is established via angular momentum exchange due to simultaneous precession of ferromagnets and as a result FMR linewidth narrows. We also confirmed the spin pumping theory's prediction on the thickness dependence of FMR linewidth such that the linewidth for thin film Co decreases exponentially as its thickness increases. Forward and reverse bias current-voltage characteristics of Au/n-Si Schottky barrier diodes with and without SnO2 insulator layer
GÖKÇEN, MUHARREM; ALTINDAL, ŞEMSETTİN; Karaman, M.; Aydemir, U. (Elsevier BV, 2011-11-01)
The effects of interfacial insulator layer, interface states (N-ss) and series resistance (R-s) on the electrical characteristics of Au/n-Si structures have been investigated using forward and reverse bias current-voltage (I-V) characteristics at room temperature. Therefore, Au/n-Si Schottky barrier diodes (SBDs) were fabricated as SBDs with and without insulator SnO2 layer to explain the effect of insulator layer on main electrical parameters. The values of ideality factor (n), R-s and barrier height (Phi(...
FABRICATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF TiO2 THIN FILM FOR DEVICE APPLICATIONS
HOSSEINI, AREZOO; GÜLLÜ, HASAN HÜSEYİN; COŞKUN, EMRE; Parlak, Mehmet; Erçelebi, Ayşe Çiğdem (2019-07-01)
Titanium oxide (TiO2) film was deposited by rectification factor (RF) magnetron sputtering technique on glass substrates and p-Si (111) wafers to fabricate n-TiO2/p-Si heterojunction devices for the investigation of material and device properties, respectively. The structural, surface morphology, optical and electrical properties of TiO(2 )film were characterized by means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), UV-visual (UV-Vis) spectral and dark curre...
Natural convection flow of a nanofluid in an enclosure under an inclined uniform magnetic field
Tezer, Münevver; Bozkaya, Canan (2016-01-01)
In this study, the natural convection in a square enclosure filled with water-based aluminium oxide (Al2O3) under the influence of an externally applied inclined magnetic field is considered numerically. The flow is steady, two-dimensional and laminar; the nanoparticles and water are assumed to be in thermal equilibrium. The governing equations are solved in terms of stream function-vorticity-temperature using both the dual reciprocity boundary element method and the finite element method to see the influen...
Matrix and interface modification of short carbon fiber-reinforced epoxy
Kaynak, Cevdet; Tincer, T (Elsevier BV, 2005-06-01)
In this work, effects of matrix and interface modification on the mechanical behavior of short carbon fiber-reinforced diglycidyl ether of bisphenol-A (DGEBA)-based epoxy composite were studied. For this purpose, fiber surfaces were treated by a silane coupling agent (SCA) and the epoxy matrix was modified with hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene (HTPB).
Frequency effect on electrical and dielectric characteristics of In/Cu2ZnSnTe4/Si/Ag diode structure
Gullu, H. H.; Surucu, O. Bayrakli; Terlemezoğlu, Makbule; Yildiz, D. E.; Parlak, Mehmet (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2019-05-01)
In/Cu2ZnSnTe4/Si/Ag diode structure was fabricated by sputtering Cu2ZnSnTe4 (CZTTe) thin film layer on the Si layer with In front contact. The frequency dependent room temperature capacitance and conductance measurements were carried out to obtain detailed information of its electrical characteristics. Admittance spectra of the diode exhibited strong frequency dependence and the obtained values showed decreasing behavior with the increase in the applied frequency. The effect of interfacial film layer with s...
