LOOKING FOR SUPERSYMMETRY IN RARE B-MESON DECAYS

1990-03-22
We investigate manifestations of SUSY in rare B-meson decays Bd→Kφ0, K+π− which proceed mainly via penguin diagrams. It is shown that there exists a range of masses of SUSY particles where the SUSY contribution to the amplitudes of the processes exceeds the standard one. We obtain constraints on SUSY particle masses which may be competitive with the accelerator ones.

Search for long-lived neutral particles decaying to quark-antiquark pairs in proton-proton collisions at root s=8 TeV
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (American Physical Society (APS), 2015-01-01)
A search is performed for long-lived massive neutral particles decaying to quark-antiquark pairs. The experimental signature is a distinctive topology of a pair of jets, originating at a secondary vertex. Events were collected with the CMS detector at the CERN LHC in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 8 TeV. The data analyzed correspond to an integrated luminosity of 18.5 fb(-1). No significant excess is observed above standard model expectations. Upper limits at 95% confidence level are...
Testing the outflow theory of Malcherek by slit weir data
FERRO, Vito; Aydın, İsmail (2018-03-01)
In this paper the flow-process of a slit weir is analyzed by the outflow theory of Malcherek. Average flow velocity over the slit weir is expressed in terms of head over weir and the momentum correction coefficient. The theoretically deduced stage-discharge formula was then calibrated using experimental data obtained for a ratio between the weir and the channel width ranging from 0.05 to 0.25. The deduced stage-discharge relationship allows to measure discharge values characterized by errors which are, for ...
Search for supersymmetry in proton-proton collisions at 13 TeV using identified top quarks
Sirunyan, A. M.; et. al. (2018-01-01)
A search for supersymmetry is presented based on proton-proton collision events containing identified hadronically decaying top quarks, no leptons, and an imbalance p(T)(miss) in transverse momentum. The data were collected with the CMS detector at the CERN LHC at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb(-1). Search regions are defined in terms of the multiplicity of bottom quark jet and top quark candidates, the p(T)(miss) , the scalar sum of jet transverse m...
Search for Low-Mass Quark-Antiquark Resonances Produced in Association with a Photon at root s=13 TeV
Sirunyan, A. M.; et. al. (American Physical Society (APS), 2019-12-01)
A search for narrow low-mass resonances decaying to quark-antiquark pairs is presented. The search is based on proton-proton collision events collected at 13 TeV by the CMS detector at the CERN LHC. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb(-1), recorded in 2016. The search considers the case where the resonance has high transverse momentum due to initial-state radiation of a hard photon. To study this process, the decay products of the resonance are reconstructed as a single large-...
Search for narrow resonances using the dijet mass spectrum in pp collisions at root s=8 TeV
Chatrchyan, S.; et. al. (American Physical Society (APS), 2013-06-01)
Results are presented of a search for the production of new particles decaying to pairs of partons (quarks, antiquarks, or gluons), in the dijet mass spectrum in proton-proton collisions at √s=8  TeV. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 4.0  fb−1, collected with the CMS detector at the LHC in 2012. No significant evidence for narrow resonance production is observed. Upper limits are set at the 95% confidence level on the production cross section of hypothetical new particles decaying ...
