We use distribution amplitudes of the light Sigma baryon and the most general form of the interpolating current for heavy Sigma(b) baryon to investigate the semileptonic Sigma(b) -> Sigma l(+)l(-) transition in light cone QCD sum rules. We calculate all 12 form factors responsible for this transition and use them to evaluate the branching ratio of the considered channel. The order of branching fraction shows that this channel can be detected at LHC.

Light-cone sum rules for radial excitation of decuplet to octet baryons electromagnetic transition form factors
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Bilmiş, Selçuk; Savcı, Mustafa (2021-11-01)
In this paper magnetic dipole moment form factor, G(M)((2))(Q(2)), describing the radial excitation of decuplet baryons to octet baryons electromagnetic transitions as well as the ratios, RSM = - 1/4m(2)(2) root 4(m2)(Q)(2)(2) + (m(2)(2) - Q(2) - m(1)(2))2 G(C)((2))(Q(2))/ G(M)((2))(Q(2)) and R-EM = -G(E)((2))(Q(2)) G(M)((2))(Q(2)) are calculated in the framework of light-cone sum rules. We also estimate the degree of the violation of U-spin symmetry.
The Sigma(0)Lambda transition magnetic moment in light cone QCD sum rules
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Özpineci, Altuğ; Savcı, Mustafa (2001-09-20)
Using the general form of the Sigma (0) and Lambda currents, the Sigma (0)Lambda transition magnetic moment is calculated in framework of the light cone QCD sum rules. A comparison of our result on this quantity with the existing theoretical results and experimental data is presented.
Doubly heavy spin-1/2 baryon spectrum in QCD
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (2012-12-01)
We calculate the mass and residue of the heavy spin-1/2 baryons containing two heavy h or c quarks in the framework of QCD sum rules. We use the most general form of the interpolating current in its symmetric and anti-symmetric forms with respect to the exchange of heavy quarks, to calculate the two-point correlation functions describing the baryons under consideration. A comparison of the obtained results with existing predictions from various approaches is also made.
Analysis of the Lambda b -> Lambda l(+)l(-) decay in QCD
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (2010-03-01)
Taking into account the Lambda baryon distribution amplitudes and the most general form of the interpolating current of the Lambda(b), the semileptonic Lambda(b) --> Lambda l(+)l(-) transition is investigated in the framework of the light cone QCD sum rules. Sum rules for all 12 form factors responsible for the Lambda(b) --> Lambda l(+)l(-) decay are constructed. The obtained results for the form factors are used to compute the branching fraction. A comparison of the obtained results with the existing predi...
Thermal and mechanical properties of Pt-Rh alloys
Dereli, G; Cagin, T; Uludogan, M; Tomak, Mehmet (1997-04-01)
We utilize the many-body potentials developed by Sutton and Chen within the context of the tight-binding approach to study the bulk properties of metals and metal alloys in molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. In the simulations of Pt-Rh alloys we used the MD algorithms based on an extended Hamiltonian formalism from the works of Andersen, Parrinello and Rahman, Nose, Hoover, and Cagin. The simulator program that we use generates information about various physical properties during the run time, along with ...
