Light emitting properties of poly[4-(5-(biphenyl- 4-yl)-4-hexylthiophen-2-yl)-2-dodecyl-7-(4-hexyl-thiophen-2-yl)-2H-benzo[d][1,2,3]-triazole] (PPhHTBT) and poly(9-vinylcarbazole) (PVK) blends were investigated with a configuration of ITO/PEDOT-PSS/BLEND/Ca/Al in ratios ranging from 5 to 100 wt% in PPhHTBT. Thin film and solution spectra of all blends revealed that energy transfer was completely achieved. Device performance increased for all blends and reached 1.1 cd/A for 30 wt% PPhHTBT.

Photo-transferred thermoluminescence of shallow traps in beta-irradiated BeO ceramics
Isik, M.; Bulur, Enver; Hasanlı, Nızamı (2017-07-01)
Photo-transferred thermoluminescence signals from beryllium oxide (BeO) ceramics were measured in the low temperature range of 10-300 K. Samples irradiated at room temperature using a Sr-90/Y-19 beta source were cooled down to 10 K and trapped charges were photo-transferred at this low temperature using the light from a high power blue LED emitting at similar to 470 nm (2.6 eV). Thermoluminescence glow curve recorded at 0.2 K/s heating rate exhibited three peaks around 90, 160 and 185 K. The analyses of the...
Low-Temperature Thermo luminescence Studies on TlInS2 Layered Single Crystals
Isik, M.; Delice, S.; Hasanlı, Nızamı (2014-12-01)
Thermoluminescence characteristics of TlInS2 layered single crystals grown by the Bridgman method were investigated in the low temperature range of 10-300 K. The illuminated sample with blue light (approximate to 470 nm) at 10 K was heated at constant heating rate. Curve fitting, initial rise and various heating rate methods were used to determine the activation energy of the trap levels. All applied methods showed good consistency about the presence of five trapping centers located at 14, 19, 350, 420, and...
TEMPERATURE EFFECTS ON PERMEATION OF MODIFIED ATMOSPHERE GAS-MIXTURES THROUGH A LOW-DENSITY POLYETHYLENE PACKAGE FILM
TOKATLI, K; OZILGEN, M (Wiley, 1993-01-01)
Permeation of CO2 and O2 through a low density polyethylene film was studied with CO2-N2 MiXtures in the temperature range 263-283 K, and with CO2-O2-N2 mixtures in the range 257-313 K. The temperature dependence of the permeabilities of these gases agreed with the Arrhenius expression. The activation energy for carbon dioxide diffusion was between 3.53 x 10(4) and 3.74 x 10(4) J/mol; the activation energy for oxygen diffusion was 3.13 x 10(4) J/mol. The pre-exponential constant for oxygen was higher than t...
High temperature bromination. Part 12: Bromination of 7-oxabenzonorbornadiene: Synthesis of 2,3-dibromo-7-oxabenzonorbornadiene
Altundas, A; Dastan, A; McKee, MM; Balcı, Metin (Elsevier BV, 2000-08-11)
The electrophilic addition of bromine to 7-oxabenzonorbornadiene (8) at 0 degrees C led in high yield to the formation of dibromoaldehyde 10. However, high-temperature bromination of 8 in carbontetrachloride at 77 degrees C gave non-rearranged products 17 and 18. From the elimination of non-rearranged products, 2-bromo-7-oxabenzonorbornadiene (12) was obtained. Similarly, bromination of monobromide 12 at 77 degrees C yielded the non-rearranged tribromides 19 and 20 while bromination of 12 at 0 degrees C gav...
Temperature dependence of the Raman-active phonon frequencies in indium sulfide
Hasanlı, Nızamı; Aydinli, A; Yilmaz, I (1999-01-01)
The temperature dependence of the Raman-active mode frequencies in indium sulfide was measured in the range from 10 to 300 K. The analysis of the temperature dependence of the A(g) intralayer optical modes show that Raman frequency shift results from the change of harmonic frequency with volume expansion and anharmonic coupling to phonons of other branches. The pure-temperature contribution (phonon-phonon coupling) is due to three- and four-phonon processes.
