A random copolymer (CP) containing 3-methylthienyl methacrylate (MTM) and p-vinylbenzyloxy poly(ethyleneoxide) (PEO-VB) units was synthesized. Further graft copolymerization of CP with pyrrole (Py) and thiophene (Th) were achieved in H2O - sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), H2O - p-toluenesulphonic acid (PTSA) and acetonitrile (AN) - tetrabutylammonium tetrafluoroborate (TBAFB) solvent electrolyte couples via constant potential electrolyses. Characterization was performed by cyclic voltammetry (CV), nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR), and fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The morphologies of the films were examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Conductivities of the samples were measured by using four-probe technique. Moreover, spectroelectrochemical and electrochromic properties of the copolymer obtained from thiophene were investigated by UV-Vis spectrometry and colorimetry.

ALTERNATING CYCLOPOLYMERIZATION OF ALLYL TRANS-CINNAMATE AND MALEIC-ANHYDRIDE
RZAEV, ZMO; AKOVALI, G; MEDYAKOVA, LV (Elsevier BV, 1994-01-01)
Some features of the radical copolymerization of allyl cinnamate bifunctional monomers, containing donor (allyl)-acceptor (beta-phenylacryl) double bonds in the molecule, with maleic anhydride have been revealed. The kinetic parameters of the reactions, including their complex-formation, cyclization and copolymerization constants, as well as the ratios of chain growth rates for the participation of monomeric charge-transfer complexes and free monomers, are all determined. It has been established that an alt...
Kinetics of polyurethane formation between glycidyl azide polymer and a triisocyanate
Keskin, S; Özkar, Saim (Wiley, 2001-07-25)
Kinetics of the polyurethane formation between glycidyl azide polymer (GAP) and a polyisocyanate, Desmodur N-100, were studied in the bulk state by using quantitative FTIR spectroscopy. The reaction was followed by monitoring the change in intensity of the absorption band at 2270 cm-l for NCO stretching in the IR spectrum, and was shown to obey second-order kinetics up to 50% conversion. The activation parameters were obtained from the evaluation of kinetic data at different temperatures in the range of 50-...
COMPOSITION VARIATIONS OF LATTICE-PARAMETERS OF TLIN(SE1-XTEX)2, TLIN(SE1-XSX)2, AND TLIN1-XGAXSE2 MIXED-CRYSTALS
Hasanlı, Nızamı; CULFAZ, A (Wiley, 1995-01-01)
TlInSe2 and TlInTe2 crystallize in a tetragonal cell (space group 14/mcm) (Muller et al.). A primitive cell of these ternary crystals contains two formula units. All the Tl atoms in these compounds are univalent. The In atoms are trivalent being in a tetrahedral environment consisting of Se or Te atoms. InSe4 or InTe4 fragments of a unit cell form the chains extended along c-axis coinciding with [001] directions. Such chains are bonded to each other by Tl atoms.
Luminescence of molecular and block copolymeric 2,7-bis(phenylethenyl)- fluorenones; identifying green-band emitter sites in a fluorene-based luminophore
RATHNAYAKE, Hemali P.; Çırpan, Ali; KARASZ, Frank E.; ODOI, Michael Y.; HAMMER, Nathan I.; BARNES, Michael D.; LAHTI, Paul M. (American Chemical Society (ACS), 2007-06-26)
2,7-Bis(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenylethenyl)fluorenone (OFOPV) and a segmented oligomer analogue linking OFOPV units with polymethylene flexible spacersalt-poly(2,6-dimethoxylphenylene-4-vinylene-[9-fluorenone-2-yl-7-vinylene]3,5-dimethoxyphenylene-4-[1,6-hexanedioxyl]) (pFOPV)were synthesized and their luminescence properties studied. Solution-phase photoluminescence (PL) of OFOPV and pFOPV shows concentration-dependent relative intensities of a fine-structured higher energy band and a featureless lower energy b...
Soluble Alkyl Substituted Poly(3,4-Propylenedioxyselenophene)s: A New Platform For Optoelectronic Materials
Atak, Samed; Icli-Ozkut, Merve; Önal, Ahmet Muhtar; CİHANER, ATİLLA (Wiley, 2011-10-15)
Optical and electrochemical properties of regiosymmetric and soluble alkylenedioxyselenophene-based electrochromic polymers, namely poly(3,3-dibutyl-3,4-dihydro-2H-seleno pheno [3,4-b][1,4]dioxephine) (PProDOS-C(4)), poly(3,3-dihexyl-3,4-dihydro-2H-selenopheno[3,4-b][1,4]dioxephine) (PProDOS-C(6)), and poly(3,3-didecyl-3,4-dihydro-2H-selenopheno[3,4-b][1,4]dioxephine) (PProDOS-C(10)), are highlighted. It is noted that these unique polymers have low bandgaps (1.57-1.65 eV), and they are exceptionally stable ...
