In this article, we present a construction of low correlation zone (LCZ) sequence sets. This construction gives a new class of quaternary LCZ sequence sets. Furthermore, we observe a generalization of the LCZ sequence sets in Kim et al. (IEEE Trans Inform Theory 52(10):4607-4616, 2006) by using an orthogonal transformation. The obtained LCZ sequence sets are optimal with respect to the Tang, Fan and Matsufuji bound.

A new multiobjective simulated annealing algorithm
Tekinalp, Ozan (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2007-09-01)
A new multiobjective simulated annealing algorithm for continuous optimization problems is presented. The algorithm has an adaptive cooling schedule and uses a population of fitness functions to accurately generate the Pareto front. Whenever an improvement with a fitness function is encountered, the trial point is accepted, and the temperature parameters associated with the improving fitness functions are cooled. Beside well known linear fitness functions, special elliptic and ellipsoidal fitness functions,...
A new likelihood approach to autonomous multiple model estimation
Söken, Halil Ersin (Elsevier BV, 2020-04-01)
This paper presents an autonomous multiple model (AMM) estimation algorithm for hybrid systems with sudden changes in their parameters. Estimates of Kalman filters (KFs) that are tuned and employed for different system modes are merged based on a newly defined likelihood function without any necessity for filter interaction. The proposed likelihood function is composed of two measures, the filter agility measure and the steady-state error measure. These measures are derived based on filter adaptation rules....
Constructions and bounds on linear error-block codes
LİNG, San; Özbudak, Ferruh (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2007-12-01)
We obtain new bounds on the parameters and we give new constructions of linear error-block codes. We obtain a Gilbert-Varshamov type construction. Using our bounds and constructions we obtain some infinite families of optimal linear error-block codes over F-2. We also study the asymptotic of linear error-block codes. We define the real valued function alpha (q,m,a) (delta), which is an analog of the important real valued function alpha (q) (delta) in the asymptotic theory of classical linear error-correctin...
AN OPTIMAL-CONTROL PROBLEM WITH NONLINEAR ELLIPTIC STATE-EQUATIONS
Leblebicioğlu, Mehmet Kemal (Elsevier BV, 1992-02-01)
In this article some of the results for optimal control of linear systems have been generalized to a nonlinear case. This is achieved by employing standard techniques of the nonlinear theory. After demonstrating the existence of optimal controls, finite element method is used to discretize the problem. The resulting finite dimensional problem is solved by a special algorithm. The theoretical discussions are completed by proving that approximate solutions are reduced to exact solutions as the element size te...
Improvements on generalized hamming weights of some trace codes
GÜNERİ, CEM; Özbudak, Ferruh (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2006-05-01)
We obtain improved bounds for the generalized Hamming weights of some trace codes which include a large class of cyclic codes over any finite field. In particular, we improve the corresponding bounds of Stichtenoth and Voss [8] using various methods altogether.
