DENSITY AND VISCOSITY OF GRAPE JUICE AS A FUNCTION OF CONCENTRATION AND TEMPERATURE
Bayındırlı, Levent A. (1993-01-01)
The purpose of this work was to derive multiparameter models for predicting density and viscosity of grape juice as a function of concentration and temperature.
Volume Change Measurement in Triaxial Tests by Monitoring Cell Fluid Volume Based on Viscoelastic Behavior of the Test Setup
Ahmadi-Naghadeh, R.; Toker, Nabi Kartal (2017-07-01)
A novel procedure was developed to measure the total volume change of the unsaturated soils in triaxial testing. The principle of the proposed method was based on cell fluid volume measurements corrected by the assumption of viscoelastic behavior for the triaxial setup. Calibration and parameter determination procedures of the model are devised, and the presented model is implemented into a MATLAB code. The proposed method was validated through a series of consolidated drained triaxial tests on saturated sp...
Volume and Efficiency Optimization of a Step-down DC/DC Converter Based on F-L-N Parameters
Şahin, İlker; Hava, Ahmet Masum (2013-11-30)
In the design process of a practical power converter, a designer considers not only the electrical input/output performance criteria which the converter is supposed to meet, but also efficiency and overall volume. Mostly, factors that strongly affect efficiency and converter volume such as choice of switching frequency (f) and the amount of inductance (L), are solely selected depending on the designer's former experience and/or widely accepted rules of thumb, without any serious calculation. This study aims...
Volume calculated as a function of pressure near the melting point in solid hexadecane
Yurtseven, Hasan Hamit (Walter de Gruyter GmbH, 2007-01-01)
We calculate here the volume of solid hexadecane as a function of pressure near the melting point. For this calculation, we analyze the thermal expansivity at constant temperatures of 302 and 325 K in this organic compound.
Volume combustion and mechanochemical syntheses of LaB6
Akgun, Baris; Sevinc, Naci; ÇAMURLU, HASAN ERDEM; Topkaya, Yavuz Ali (2017-01-01)
LaB6 powder was produced by volume combustion synthesis (VCS) and mechanochemical synthesis (MCS) methods, through magnesiothermic reduction of La2O3 and B2O3 powders. VCS was achieved by rapid heating of the reactant mixture in argon, whereas MCS was performed via high energy ball milling. All the products were subjected to XRD, SEM, gravimetric and particle size distribution analyses. MCS resulted in the expected products LaB6 and MgO. In addition to these, VCS products contained LaBO3 and Mg3B2O6. In ord...
