ISOPARAMETRIC ELEMENTS WITH UNEQUALLY SPACED EDGE NODES
UTKU, M; CITIPITIOGLU, E; OZKAN, G (Elsevier BV, 1991-01-01)
In the isoparametric finite element formulation, mapping of equally spaced nodes on the boundary of the master element to unequally spaced locations on the physical elements results in an unacceptable distortion. This type of distortion is defined as 'node mapping distortion' and a technique for its elimination is presented. Simple test cases demonstrate the utility of the new formulation.
Isovector response of nuclear matter at finite temperature
Ayik, S.; BOZKURT, Kutsal; Gokalp, A.; Yılmaz Tüzün, Özgül (2008-06-01)
The dipole response function of nuclear matter at zero and finite temperatures is investigated in an extended RPA approach by including collisional damping mechanism and coherent damping due to particle-phonon coupling. Calculations are carried out for nuclear dipole vibrations by employing the Steinwedel-Jensen model and compared with experimental results for Sn-120 and Pb-208.
Isovector axial-vector form factors of octet baryons in QCD
ERKOL, GÜRAY; Özpineci, Altuğ (2011-06-09)
We compute the diagonal isovector axial-vector as well as induced pseudoscalar form factors of nucleon, Sigma, and Xi baryons by employing the light-cone QCD sum rules to leading order in QCD and including distribution amplitudes up to twist 6. Extrapolating our sum-rules results to low-momentum transfers, we make a comparison with experimental and lattice-QCD results where we can achieve a nice qualitative and quantitative agreement.
Isovector axial vector form factors of octet-decuplet hyperon transition in QCD
KÜÇÜKARSLAN, AYŞE; Ozdem, U.; Özpineci, Altuğ (2015-01-01)
We calculate the isovector axial vector form factors of the octet-decuplet hyperon transitions within the framework of the light-cone QCD sum rules to leading in QCD and including higher-twist corrections. In particular, we motivate the most recent version of the Sigma and Lambda baryons distribution amplitudes, which are examined up to twist-6 based on conformal symmetry of the massless QCD Lagrangian.
Isovector axial vector and pseudoscalar transition form factors of Delta in QCD
KÜÇÜKARSLAN, AYŞE; Ozdem, U.; Özpineci, Altuğ (2014-09-03)
We investigate the isovector axial vector and pseudoscalar form factors of Delta baryon by employing light-cone QCD sum rules. Numerical calculations show that the form factors can be well fitted by the exponential form. We make a comparison with the predictions of lattice QCD, chiral perturbation theory and quark model.
