mmm: An R package for analyzing multivariate longitudinal data with multivariate marginal models
Asar, Oezguer; İlk Dağ, Özlem (2013-12-01)
Modeling multivariate longitudinal data has many challenges in terms of both statistical and computational aspects. Statistical challenges occur due to complex dependence structures. Computational challenges are due to the complex algorithms, the use of numerical methods, and potential convergence problems. Therefore, there is a lack of software for such data. This paper introduces an R package mmm prepared for marginal modeling of multivariate longitudinal data. Parameter estimations are achieved by genera...
RT-SHPM imaging of permalloy microstructures and garnet films using new high performance InSb sensors
Kaval, M.; Oral, Ahmet; Dede, M.; Sandhu, A. (2002-01-01)
Scanning Hall probe microscopy (SHPM) is a quantitative and noninvasive technique to image magnetic samples with high spatial and magnetic field resolution: ∼120 nm & 6×10-6T/√(Hz) at room temperature. A sub-micron Hall probe is scanned over the sample surface to measure the surface magnetic fields using conventional scanning tunneling microscopy-positioning techniques. We have developed new low noise, high performance InSb Hall sensors for room temperature scanning Hall probe microscopy (RT-SHPM), which ha...
RT-SHPM imaging of permalloy microstructures and garnet films using new high performance INSB sensors
Oral, Ahmet; Dede, Munir; Sandhu, Adarsh (2002-12-01)
The room temperature scanning Hall probe microscopy (RT-SHPM) imaging of permalloy microstructures and garnet films was discussed. The high performance InSb Hall sensors were used for this purpose. It was shown that the InSb Hall probes were highly sensitive and low noise alternatives to GaAs sensors for RT-SHPM.
HPRNet: Hierarchical point regression for whole-body human pose estimation
SAMET, NERMİN; Akbaş, Emre (2021-11-01)
In this paper, we present a new bottom-up one-stage method for whole-body pose estimation, which we call “hierarchical point regression,” or HPRNet for short. In standard body pose estimation, the locations of ~17 major joints on the human body are estimated. Differently, in whole-body pose estimation, the locations of fine-grained keypoints (68 on face, 21 on each hand and 3 on each foot) are estimated as well, which creates a scale variance problem that needs to be addressed. To handle the scale variance ...
RG-Trees: Trajectory-Free Feedback Motion Planning Using Sparse Random Reference Governor Trees
Gölbol, Ferhat; Ankaralı, Mustafa Mert; Saranlı, Afşar (2018-10-05)
Sampling based methods resulted in feasible and effective motion planning algorithms for high dimensional configuration spaces and complex environments. A vast majority of such algorithms as well as their application rely on generating a set of open-loop trajectories first, which are then tracked by feedback control policies. However, controlling a dynamic robot to follow the planned path, while respecting the spatial constraints originating from the obstacles is still a challenging problem. There are some ...
