Characteristics of InAS(0.8)Sb(0.2) photodetectors on GaAs substrates
Beşikci, Cengiz; Van Hoof, C; Zimmermann, L; John, J; Merken, P (IOP Publishing, 2001-12-01)
As an alternative to HgCdTe, InAsxSb1-x is an important alloy providing bandgaps suitable for infrared detection in both 3-5 and 8-12 mum atmospheric windows. There has been interest in high-quality growth of this material on GaAs and Si substrates. This paper reports the fabrication and characteristics of mid-infrared InAs0.8Sb0.2 photodetectors grown on GaAs substrates by molecular beam epitaxy. Peak detectivities of 1.4 x 10(10) and 7.5 x 10(8) cm Hz(1/2) W-1 were measured at 77 K and 240 K. respectively...
Characteristics of dual-type electrochromic devices based on poly(ethylene oxide) copolymers
Yildiz, Huseyin Bekir; Sahin, Elif; Çırpan, Ali; Toppare, Levent Kamil; Yagci, Yusuf (Wiley, 2007-05-01)
Dual-type polymer electrochromic devices based on [(3-thienyl)methylmethacrylate]-co-[p-vinyl benzyloxy poly(ethylene oxide)]/polythiophene and thiophene-capped poly(ethylene oxide)/polythiophene and ethylene dioxythiophene were constructed via electropolymerization. Spectroelectrochemistry, switching ability and stability of the devices were investigated using UV-visible spectrophotometry and cyclic voltammetry. These devices exhibit low switching; voltages and short switching times with reasonable switchi...
Characteristics of deep chlorophyll maximum in the Northeastern Mediterranean with respect to environmental conditions
Ediger, D; Yılmaz, Ayşen (1996-12-01)
The vertical distribution of chlorophyll-a was recorded throughout the northern part of the Levantine Basin of the eastern Mediterranean and was related to patterns of the physical dynamics for October 1991-March 1994 period. A well developed deep chlorophyll maximum (DCM) was observed in the northern Levantine Basin (NLB), with concentrations greater than 1 mu g/L at depths ranging from 45 to 100 m on average. Chlorophyll-a concentrations ranged between 0.01 (in surface waters, Oct. 1991) and 3.07 mu g/L (...
Characteristics of the weathering zones developed within the tuffs of the Midas monument
Topal, Tamer (2001-01-01)
The Midas monument, an impressive cult facade located in the southern part of the Eskiflehir provincein central Anatolia, Turkey, was made within tuffs (white and pink), which now have deterioration problems. Inthis study, the depth and characteristics of the weathering zones that have developed in the white and pink tuffshave been investigated through thin-section studies, X-ray powder diffractometry, methylene blue adsorption tests,major-element analyses, and some index parameters. It has been de...
CHARACTERISTICS OF FLAXSEED OIL FROM TWO DIFFERENT FLAX PLANTS
Zhang, Zhen-Shan; Wang, Li-Jun; Lİ, Dong; Li, Shu-Jun; Özkan, Necati (2011-01-01)
Flaxseed oil is rich in linolenic acid, and being accepted in diet by more and more people. The characteristics of flaxseed oil from two different varieties, namely fibre-flax seed and oil-flax seed, were evaluated. It was shown that fatty acids of flaxseed oil were mainly constituted by linolenic, oleic, linoleic, stearic, and palmitic acids, and the oil-flax seed oil contained more linolenic acid (58.03%) compared with the fibre-flax seed oil (47.37%). The fibre-flax seed oil showed a higher absorbance at...
