A search for upsilon(mu) --> upsilon(e) and ($) over bar upsilon(mu) --> ($) over bar upsilon(e) oscillations has been carried out with the CHARM LI detector exposed to the CERN wide band neutrino beam. The data were collected over five years, alternating beams mainly composed of muon-neutrinos and muon-antineutrinos. The number of interactions of upsilon(e) and ($) over bar upsilon(e) observed is comparable with the number of events expected from flux calculations. For large squared mass differences the upper limits obtained on the mixing angle are sin(2)2 theta < 9.4.10(-3) for upsilon(mu) oscillating to upsilon(e) and sin(2)2 theta < 4.8.10(-3) for ($) over bar upsilon(mu) to ($) over bar upsilon(e) at the 90% confidence level. Combining neutrino and antineutrino data the upper limit is 5.6.10(-3).

Search for New Phenomena in t(t)overbar Events with Large Missing Transverse Momentum in Proton-Proton Collisions at root s=7 TeV with the ATLAS Detector
Aad, G.; et. al. (2012-01-26)
A search for new phenomena in t (t) over bar events with large missing transverse momentum in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 7 TeV is presented. The measurement is based on 1: 04 fb(-1) of data collected with the ATLAS detector at the LHC. Contributions to this final state may arise from a number of standard model extensions. The results are interpreted in terms of a model where new top-quark partners are pair produced and each decay to an on-shell top (or antitop) quark and a long-l...
Search for nu(mu) -> nu(e) oscillations with the OPERA experiment in the CNGS beam
Agafonova, N.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2013-07-01)
A first result of the search for nu(mu)->nu(e) oscillations in the OPERA experiment, located at the Gran Sasso Underground Laboratory, is presented. The experiment looked for the appearance of nu(e) in the CNGS neutrino beam using the data collected in 2008 and 2009. Data are compatible with the non-oscillation hypothesis in the three-flavour mixing model. A further analysis of the same data constrains the non-standard oscillation parameters theta(new) and Delta m(new)(2) suggested by the LSND and MiniBooNE...
Search for vectorlike leptons in multilepton final states in proton-proton collisions at root s=13 TeV
Sirunyan, A. M.; et. al. (American Physical Society (APS), 2019-09-01)
A search for vectorlike leptons in multilepton final states is presented. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 77.4 fb(-1) of proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC in 2016 and 2017. Events are categorized by the multiplicity of electrons, muons, and hadronically decaying tau leptons. The missing transverse momentum and the scalar sum of the lepton transverse momenta are used to distinguish the signal from background. Th...
Search for supersymmetry in the vector-boson fusion topology in proton-proton collisions at root s=8TeV
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (2015-11-01)
The first search for supersymmetry in the vector-boson fusion topology is presented. The search targets final states with at least two leptons, large missing transverse momentum, and two jets with a large separation in rapidity. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb(-1) of proton-proton collisions at root s = 8TeV collected with the CMS detector at the CERN LHC. The observed dijet invariant mass spectrum is found to be consistent with the expected standard model prediction. Uppe...
Search for standard model production of four top quarks in proton-proton collisions at root s=13TeV
Sirunyan, A. M.; et. al. (Elsevier BV, 2017-09-01)
A search for events containing four top quarks (t (t) over bart (t) over bar) is reported from proton-proton collisions recorded by the CMS experiment at root s = 13 TeV and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.6 fb(-1). The analysis considers the single-lepton (e or mu)+jets and the opposite-sign dilepton (mu(+)mu(-),mu +/- e -/+ , or e(+) e(-))+ jets channels. It uses boosted decision trees to combine information on the global event and jet properties to distinguish between t (t) over bart (t) o...
