Vibrational studies of alcohol films: Molecular structure vs long range order
Esentürk, Okan (2004-03-28)
THz spectra for some amino acids, peptide and protein have been measured by use of commercial and optically compensated FTS spectrometers. A lot of sharp spectral lines have been observed below 7 THz and attributed, tentatively and in general, to hydrogen bonds and weak intermolecular interactions for the amino-acids and simple peptides, but the detailed explanation is still lack and leaving a big room for further investigation
Vibrational spectra of cyclacenes-PM3 treatment
Türker, Burhan Lemi (Elsevier BV, 2003-12-15)
Cyclacenes having R = 3-7 benzenoid rings are considered for PM3 (RHF) type semiempirical quantum-chemical calculations. Energetics and calculated vibrational spectra are analyzed.
Vibrational frequencies and structural determination of 2,2 '-biquinoline
Yurdakul, S.; Yurdakul, Murat Hayrettin (2007-05-27)
We present a detailed analysis of the structure and infrared spectra of 2,2'-biquinoline. The vibrational frequencies of the 2,2'-biquinoline molecule have been analyzed using standard quantum chemical techniques. Frequencies have been calculated with HF, and DFT (BLYP, B3LYP and B3PW91) theory, using the standard 6-311G* as the basis set. The assignments of the observed bands corresponding to 2,2'-biquinoline were made on the basis of such calculations and the comparison with related molecules.
Vibrational spectroscopy of hydrogen-bonded systems: Six-dimensional simulation of the IR spectrum of F-(H2O) complex
Toffolı, Danıele; Sparta, Manuel; Christiansen, Ove (Elsevier BV, 2011-06-24)
The vibrational dynamics of the F-(H2O) complex is studied using highly accurate six-dimensional molecular potential energy and dipole moment surfaces calculated at the CCSD (T)/cc-pVQZ and CCSD (T)/augcc-pVTZ levels with a multiresolution approach. The extent of mode-coupling is investigated with full vibrational configuration-interaction (FVCI) calculations. Coriolis coupling effects are also included with the aim to obtain quantitative agreement with the experimental data available. The vibrational absor...
