Possibilities of single production of the scalar leptoquark and also of its supersymmetric partner in polarized-gamma-e beams are studied in E6 superstring theories. Expressions for the differential and total cross sections are obtained and analyzed. It is shown that the scalar leptoquark of mass 300 GeV can be detected even for a very small interaction constant lambda-2/4-pi almost-equal-to 10(-3)alpha, and its supersymmetric partner can be detected for lambda-2/4-pi almost-equal-to 10(-2)alpha. The spin asymmetry due to the photon-beam polarization and the effect of this polarization on both the differential and the total cross sections are studied in detail. It is shown that study of the spin asymmetry and the effect of the photon-beam polarization can be used to extract information about the leptoquark masses.

Monte Carlo analysis of the effects of the material and shape uncertainties on radar cross section by the finite difference time domain method
Kazar, Ali Kemal; Kuzuoğlu, Mustafa; Özgün, Özlem; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2013)
The aim of this research is to analyze the variations in Radar Cross Section (RCS) values of dielectric and conducting objects due to material and shape uncertainties by employing the Finite Difference Time Domain Method and the Monte Carlo approach in electromagnetic scattering problems. MATLAB codes are developed and validated to solve the electromagnetic scattering problem involving two and three dimensional arbitrarily-shaped objects. Basic principles of FDTD and its implementation in MATLAB are describ...
Lepton polarization and CP-violating effects in B -> K*tau(+)tau(-) decay in standard and two Higgs doublet models
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (Elsevier BV, 2000-05-25)
The most general model independent expressions for the CP-violating asymmetry, longitudinal, transversal and normal polarizations of leptons are derived. Application of these general results to the concrete models such as Standard model and three different types of two Higgs doublet model is discussed.
CMOS LNA design for LEO space S-Band applications
Telli, A; Askar, M (2003-05-07)
In this study, LNAs for low earth orbit (LEO) S-Band uplink/downlink "System-on-Chip" receiver stages with different topologies are designed and simulated using the Mietec CMOS 0.7mum process and the Cadence/BSIM3v3 tool.
Second harmonic generation in an asymmetric rectangular quantum well under hydrostatic pressure
Karabulut, Ibrahim; Atav, Ulfet; Safak, Haluk; Tomak, Mehmet (2007-04-30)
The effects of structure parameters and hydrostatic pressure oil the electronic states and the second harmonic generation (SHG) susceptibility of asymmetric rectangular quantum Well (ARQW) are studied. The asymmetry of the potential can be controlled by changing the structural parameters and this adjustable asymmetry is important for optimizing the SHG susceptibility. We have calculated analytically the electronic states in ARQW within the framework of the envelope function approach. Numerical results for A...
Quantal description of instabilities in nuclear matter in a stochastic relativistic model
Yılmaz Tüzün, Özgül; Gokalp, A. (2011-10-01)
Spinodal instabilities and early development of density fluctuations are investigated in the stochastic extension of Walecka-type relativistic mean field including non-linear self-interactions of scalar mesons in the quantal framework. Calculations indicate that at low temperatures T = 0-2 MeV, the initial growth of density fluctuations and hence the initial condensation mechanism occur much faster in quantal calculations than those found in the semi-classical framework. However, at higher temperatures T = ...
