Size-by size analysis of breakage parameters of cement clinker feed and product samples of an industrial roller press
Camalan, Mahmut; Hoşten, Çetin; Department of Mining Engineering (2012)
The main objective in this study is to compare breakage parameters of narrow size fractions of cement clinker taken from the product end and feed end of industrial-scale high pressure grinding rolls (HPGR) in order to assess whether the breakage parameters of clinker broken in HPGR are improved or not. For this purpose, drop weight tests were applied to six narrow size fractions above 3.35 mm, and batch grinding tests were applied to three narrow size fractions below 3.35 mm. It was found that the breakage ...
SIZE EFFECT IN THE ELECTRON THEORY OF SHORT-RANGE ATOMIC ORDER IN THE APPROXIMATION OF STATIC CONCENTRATION WAVES.
Katsnel'son, A.A.; Mehrabov, Amdulla; Silonov, V.M. (1978-01-01)
Interrelations of the ordering energy and short-range order parameter in the first coordination sphere with the form-factors of the pseudopotentials of components and parameters of linear and quadratic size effects for binary alloys consisting of components of different valencies are obtained.
Size distribution of trace elements and major ions in the eastern Mediterranean atmosphere
Kuloglu, E; Tuncel, Süleyman Gürdal (2005-10-01)
Size distribution of trace elements is measured at the Mediterranean coast of Turkey, by analyzing hi-vol impactor samples collected between August 1993 and May 1994. Mass median diameters of marine elements are between 4.6 and 5.3 mu m, and those of crustal elements are between 3.0 and 3.5 mu m. Mass median diameters of crustal elements are 30% smaller in samples impacted by Saharan Dust. Pollution derived elements, As, Cd, Mo, Pb, Se, and Zn have MMD's between 1.25 and 1.01 mu m. Although 70-90% of the ma...
Size dependent stability and surface energy of amorphous FePt nanoalloy
Akdeniz, Mahmut Vedat; Mehrabov, Amdulla (Elsevier BV, 2019-06-05)
The effects of particle size (2-6 nm) and temperature (300-2700 K) on the stability and local structural evolutions of amorphous equiatomic FePt bulk/nanoalloys have been investigated by combining Embedded Atom Model (EAM) with classical molecular dynamics (MD) simulation method. The three dimensional (3D) atomic configuration of amorphous FePt NPs by means of Voronoi analysis reveals that, deformed bcc (d-bcc) and icosahedron (d-ico) type structures are most probable local atomic configurations for 2-6 nm ...
