Mesenchymal Stem Cells and Nano-Bioceramics for Bone Regeneration
Kankilic, Berna; Kose, Sevil; KORKUSUZ, PETEK; Timucin, Muharrem; Korkusuz, Feza (2016-01-01)
Orthopedic disorders and trauma usually result in bone loss. Bone grafts are widely used to replace this tissue. Bone grafts excluding autografts unfortunately have disadvantages like evoking immune response, contamination and rejection. Autografts are of limited sources and optimum biomaterials that can replace bone have been searched for several decades. Bioceramics, which have the similar inorganic structure of natural bone, are widely used to regenerate bone or coat metallic implants. As people continuo...

MESOSCALE CIRCULATION AND THERMOHALINE STRUCTURE OF THE BLACK-SEA OBSERVED DURING HYDROBLACK-91
OGUZ, T; AUBREY, DG; LATUN, VS; DEMIROV, E; KOVESHNIKOV, L; SUR, HI; DIACONU, V; BESIKTEPE, S; Duman, Murat; LIMEBURNER, R; EREMEEV, V (Elsevier BV, 1994-04-01)
Results from nearly 300 hydrographic stations occupied during HydroBlack '91, a basin-wide survey performed during September 1991, reveal a complex, eddy-dominated three-dimensional circulation in the Black Sea. Except in the areas of anticyclonic eddies distributed around the periphery of the basin, the inshore portion of the Rim Current along the relatively smooth continental margin topography forms a narrow coastal jet characterized by small amplitude (approximately 20-30 km) undulations with a wavelengt...
Mesoscale impact on the biogeochemistry and on the trophic status of the North West Mediterranean

Mesoporous MnCo2O4 with efficient peroxidase mimetic activity for detection of H2O2
Vetr, Fahime; Moradi-Shoeili, Zeinab; Özkar, Saim (Elsevier BV, 2018-12-01)
Mesoporous MnCo2O4 with hierarchical structures were synthesized from a dual-metal zeolitic-imidazolate framework (ZIF) as precursor. The corresponding heterometallic ZIF was synthesized by mixing manganese(II) and cobalt(II) ions in the presence of 2-methylimidazole as linker. Calcination of the intermediate ZIF in air affords the nanosized mesoporous manganese cobaltite with spinel crystal structure. The obtained nanomaterials were characterized by a combination of physico-chemical and spectroscopic techn...
