Source identification of VOCs in METU campus through factor analysis
Uzunpınar, Elif Sena; Ezgi, Sert; Aslan Kılavuz, Seda; İmamoğlu, İpek; Tuncel, Süleyman Gürdal (null; 2016-09-03)
In this study, 55 ozone precursor VOCs, which are routinely measured in PAMS (Photochemical Assessment Monitoring Station) were measured in a suburban station located at Middle East Technical University, Environmental Engineering Department in, Ankara. Daily air samples were collected in evacuated canisters between January – December, 2014. Collected samples were analyzed with GC-FID system and concentrations of 51 VOCs were determined. Mean VOC concentrations ranged 0.048±0.061 μg.m-3 (cis- 2-penten) and 1...

Source strengthening in recognition memory
Aytaç, Sinem; Kılıç Özhan, Aslı; Department of Psychology (2019)
This thesis aimed to explore the list-strength paradigm in source recognition memory. Items can be strengthened through repetition, slower representation or deeper encoding either in different lists (pure-list) or within the same list (mixedlist). The strength-based mirror effect is the finding that when items are strengthened in a pure list, hit rates increase and false alarm rates decrease compared to the weakly encoded items. When a mixed-strength list is implemented, weak items’ recognition memory perfo...
