In this work, we present results of the analysis of data the Abell 1800 cluster of galaxies obtained from X-ray observations by the Suzaku satellite. A1800 is a nearby (z=0.0755) cluster, located at RA=13h49m41s, DEC=+28d04.1m. The intra cluster hot plasma properties are studied by the XIS detector. The radial profile is studied in order to understand the intracluster medium (ICM) morphology and the dynamical history of the cluster. Based on the imaging and spectral analysis we try to understand the structural evolution and merger history of A1800.

BINARY CLUSTERS OBSERVED WITH XMM-NEWTON X-RAY OBSERVATORY
Beygu, B.; Hudaverdi, M.; Ercan, N. (2008-10-05)
Clusters of galaxies are thought to form by accretion of galaxies along the cosmic filaments, and merging of clusters formed earlier. Observations and hydrodynamic simulations show the strong effects of mergers on physical conditions of the Intra Cluster Medium (ICM). In this work, we investigate five relatively nearby Abell clusters; A3705 (z= 0.089), A2440 (z= 0.090), A2933 (z= 0.092), A3888 (z= 0.152) and A115 (z= 0.193). Temperature; and metal abundance map are created using wavelet. algorithms. Peculia...
Suzaku observation of the Galactic supernova remnant CTB 37A (G348.5+0.1)
Sezer, A.; GÖK, FATMA; Hudaverdi, M.; ERCAN, ENİSE NİHAL (2011-10-01)
In this paper, we present the results of the observations of CTB 37A obtained with the X-ray imaging spectrometer onboard the Suzaku satellite. The X-ray spectrum of CTB 37A is fitted well by two components: a single-temperature ionization equilibrium component (VMEKAL), with solar abundances, an electron temperature of kTe similar to 0.6 keV and an absorbing column density of NH similar to 3 x 1022 cm-2, and a power-law component with a photon index of G similar to 1.6. The X-ray spectrum of CTB 37A is cha...
Jet energy resolution in proton-proton collisions at root s 7 TeV recorded in 2010 with the ATLAS detector
Aad, G.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2013-03-01)
The measurement of the jet energy resolution is presented using data recorded with the ATLAS detector in proton-proton collisions at s√=7 TeV. The sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 35 pb−1. Jets are reconstructed from energy deposits measured by the calorimeters and calibrated using different jet calibration schemes. The jet energy resolution is measured with two different in situ methods which are found to be in agreement within uncertainties. The total uncertainties on these measurements r...
Strange particle production in pp collisions at root s=0.9 and 7 TeV
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2011-05-01)
The spectra of strange hadrons are measured in proton-proton collisions, recorded by the CMS experiment at the CERN LHC, at centre-of-mass energies of 0.9 and 7TeV. The K-S(0), A, and Xi(-) particles and their antiparticles are reconstructed from their decay topologies and the production rates are measured as functions of rapidity and transverse momentum, p(T). The results are compared to other experiments and to predictions of the PYTHIA Monte Carlo program. The p(T) distributions are found to differ subst...
Measurement of the Z gamma production cross section in pp collisions at 8 TeV and search for anomalous triple gauge boson couplings
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2015-04-01)
The cross section for the production of Z gamma in proton-proton collisions at 8 TeV is measured based on data collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.5 fb(-1). Events with an oppositely-charged pair of muons or electrons together with an isolated photon are selected. The differential cross section as a function of the photon transverse momentum is measured inclusively and exclusively, where the exclusive selection applies a veto on central jets. The observ...
