Porous TiO2 films were deposited on glass and ITO coated glass substrates by spin coating for spinning rates of 2000, 5000, 2000 followed by successive run of 5000 rpm (2000-5000). The AFM, SEM, XRD and UV-Vis analysis of the films coated on bare glass substrates for individual and 2000-5000 rpm runs showed amorphous and crystalline behaviours respectively, while TiO2 films deposited on ITO/Glass substrates show crystalline structure. Both substrate nature and thickness of the films influence the formation of the crystallinity of the films. Also AFM images reveal that the roughness values of the films are independent of substrate.

FABRICATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF TiO2 THIN FILM FOR DEVICE APPLICATIONS
HOSSEINI, AREZOO; GÜLLÜ, HASAN HÜSEYİN; COŞKUN, EMRE; Parlak, Mehmet; Erçelebi, Ayşe Çiğdem (2019-07-01)
Titanium oxide (TiO2) film was deposited by rectification factor (RF) magnetron sputtering technique on glass substrates and p-Si (111) wafers to fabricate n-TiO2/p-Si heterojunction devices for the investigation of material and device properties, respectively. The structural, surface morphology, optical and electrical properties of TiO(2 )film were characterized by means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), UV-visual (UV-Vis) spectral and dark curre...
Mechanical and optical properties of SiO2 thin films deposited on glass
Simurka, Lukas; Ctvrtlik, Radim; Tomastik, Jan; Bektaş, Gence; Svoboda, Jan; Bange, Klaus (2018-09-01)
The optical and mechanical properties of amorphous SiO2 films deposited on soda-lime silicate float glass by reactive RF magnetron sputtering at room temperature were investigated in dependence of the process pressure. The densities of the films are strongly influenced by the process pressure and vary between 2.38 and 1.91 g cm(-3) as the pressure changes from 0.27 to 1.33 Pa. The refractive indices of the films shift between 1.52 and 1.37, while the residual compressive stresses in the deposited films vary...
Electrosynthesis and characterization of an electrochromic material containing biscarbazole-oxadiazole units and its application in an electrochromic device
UDUM, YASEMİN; HIZLIATEŞ, CEVHER GÜNDOĞDU; Ergun, Yavuz; Toppare, Levent Kamil (2015-11-30)
Electroactive poly(2,5-Bis(9-methyl-9 H-carbazol-3-yl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole) (PolyBCO) film was synthesized to form a highly stable conducting polymer with excellent electrochromic properties. The polymer was characterized by cyclic voltammetry, UV-Vis-NIR spectroscopy and colorimetry. Spectroelectrochemistry analysis demonstrated that the polymer can undergo both p-type and n-type doping processes. The polymer has four accessible color states. Further kinetic studies demonstrated that the polymer revealed high...
Preparation and characterization of cost effective spray pyrolyzed absorber layer for thin film solar cells
Sankir, Nurdan D.; Aydin, Erkan; Unver, Hulya; Uluer, Ezgi; Parlak, Mehmet (Elsevier BV, 2013-09-01)
In this study, highly (1 1 2) oriented crystalline copper indium disulfide (CuInS2) thin films with high mobility have been deposited via ultrasonic spray pyrolysis. Structural and electrical properties of CuInS2 thin films were examined to utilize them in solar cell applications. Various amounts of precursor solution ranging from 0.25 to 2.02 ml/cm(2) were used to form CuInS2 thin films onto the soda lime glass substrates. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis revealed that all sprayed films were pin...
Structural and optoelectronic properties of vanadium pentoxide thin films deposited by ultrasonic spray pyrolysis.
Koç, Şeyma; Ünalan, Hüsnü Emrah; Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (2019)
Nanocrystalline vanadium pentoxide (V2O5) thin films were deposited onto fluorine doped tin oxide (FTO) coated glass substrates using ultrasonic spray pyrolysis and spin coating methods. The formation behavior of thin films, the effects of different production methods on the characteristics of the films and their microstructural / physical properties were investigated as a function of annealing temperature in the range of 450-550 °C and other controllable process parameters. Structural, morphological and op...
