Repulsive attractive network for baseline extraction on document images
Oztop, E; Mulayim, AY; Atalay, Mehmet Volkan; YarmanVural, F (1997-04-24)
This paper describes a new framework, called, Repulsive Attractive (RA) Network for Baseline Extraction on document images. The R.A network is a self organizing feature detector which interacts with the document text image through the attractive and repulsive forces defined among the network components and the document image. Experimental results indicate that the network can successfully extract the baselines under heavy noise and with overlaps between the ascending and descending portions of the character...
Repulsive attractive network for baseline extraction on document images
Oztop, E; Mulayim, AY; Atalay, Mehmet Volkan; Yarman Vural, Fatoş Tunay (1999-05-01)
This paper describes a new framework, called repulsive attractive (RA) network for baseline extraction on document images. The RA network is an energy minimizing dynamical system, which interacts with the document text image through the attractive and repulsive forces defined over the network components and the document image. Experimental results indicate that the network can successfully extract the baselines under heavy noise and overlaps between the ascending and descending portions of the characters of...
Receptance coupling based algorithm for the identification of contact parameters at holder-tool interface
Matthias, W.; Özşahin, Orkun; Altintas, Y.; DENKENA, B. (Elsevier BV, 2016-05-01)
To identify stable cutting conditions with a high depth of cut, stability lobe diagrams are used. In order to predict these diagrams, frequency response functions (FRF) at the tool tip are required for every tool, holder and machine combination. To reduce the number of experimental tests, receptance coupling substructure analysis (RSCA) is proposed in the literature. In order to take full advantage of this method, contact parameters between holder and tool must be known. To identify these parameters this pa...

Petrogenesis and geodynamics of plagiogranites from Central Turkey (Ekecikdag/Aksaray): new geochemical and isotopic data for generation in an arc basin system within the northern branch of Neotethys
Köksal, Serhat; Toksoy Köksal, Fatma; Göncüoğlu, Mehmet Cemal (2017-06-01)
In the Late Cretaceous, throughout the closure of the Neotethys Ocean, ophiolitic rocks from the A degrees zmir-Ankara-Erzincan ocean branch were overthrusted the northern margin of the Tauride-Anatolide Platform. The ophiolitic rocks in the Ekecikdag (Aksaray/Central Turkey) region typify the oceanic crust of the A degrees zmir-Ankara-Erzincan branch of Neotethys. The gabbros in the area are cut by copious plagiogranite dykes, and both rock units are intruded by mafic dykes. The plagiogranites are leucocra...
