Eigensolution, expectation values and thermodynamic properties of the screened Kratzer potential
Ikot, A. N.; Okorie, U. S.; Sever, Ramazan; Rampho, G. J. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2019-08-12)
Within the framework of non-relativistic quantum mechanics via the Nikiforov-Uvarov (NU) method, we obtained the energy eigenvalues and the corresponding normalized eigenfunctions of a newly proposed screened Kratzer potential for lithium hydride (LiH) and hydrogen chloride (HCl) diatomic molecules. With the help of the Hellman-Feynman theorem, the expressions for the expectation values of the square of inverse of position, r(-2), inverse of position, r(-1), kinetic energy, T, and square of momentum, p(2), ...
Eigenvalues of the two-dimensional Schrodinger equation with nonseparable potentials
Taşeli, Hasan (Wiley, 1996-08-05)
The energy eigenvalues of coupled oscillators in two dimensions with quartic and sextic couplings have been calculated to a high accuracy. For this purpose, unbounded domain of the wave function has been truncated and various combination of trigonometric functions are employed as the basis sets in a Rayleigh-Ritz variational method. The method is applicable to the multiwell oscillators as well. (C) 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
Eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of Woods-Saxon potential in PT-symmetric quantum mechanics
Berkdemir, Ayse; Berkdemir, Cuneyt; Sever, Ramazan (World Scientific Pub Co Pte Lt, 2006-09-07)
Using the Nikiforov-Uvarov method which is based on solving the second-order differential equations, we firstly analyzed the energy spectra and eigenfunctions of the Woods-Saxon potential. In the framework of the PT-symmetric quantum mechanics, we secondly solved the time-independent Schrodinger equation for the PT and non-PT-symmetric version of the potential. It is shown that the discrete energy eigenvalues of the non-PT-symmetric potential consist of the real and imaginary parts, but the PT-symmetric one...
Pseudorapidity and transverse momentum dependence of flow harmonics in pPb and PbPb collisions
Sirunyan, A. M.; et. al. (2018-10-01)
Measurements of azimuthal angular correlations are presented for high-multiplicity pPb collisions at root s(NN) = 5.02 TeV and peripheral PbPb collisions at root s(NN) = 2.76 TeV. The data used in this work were collected with the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) detector at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) Large Hadron Collider (LHC). Fourier coefficients as functions of transverse momentum and pseudorapidity are studied using the scalar product method; four-, six-, and eight-particle cumul...
Equipotential projection-based magnetic resonance electrical impedance tomography and experimental realization
Ozdemir, MS; Eyüboğlu, Behçet Murat; Ozbek, O (2004-10-21)
In this study, a direct, fast image reconstruction algorithm, based on the fact that equipotential lines are perpendicular to current lines in a volume conductor, is proposed for magnetic resonance electrical impedance tomography (MR-EIT). The proposed technique is evaluated both on simulated and measured data for conductor and insulator objects.
