Structural fusion of condensed benzenoid systems

1996-01-01
Türker, Burhan Lemi
On the basis of ring topologies, some theorems for the structural fusion of condensed benzenoids are presented. It has been proved that the oddness or evenness of the fused system is dictated by the degree of fusion.

Structural and electronic properties of ajoene molecule
Erkoç, Şakir; Sumer, S; Erkoc, F (Elsevier BV, 2003-08-01)
The structural and electronic properties of ajoene molecule have been investigated theoretically by performing semi-empirical molecular orbital theory calculations. The geometry of the system has been optimized and the electronic properties of the system considered has been calculated by semiempirical self-consistent-field molecular orbital theory at the AMI level within RHF formalism in its ground state.
Structural properties of indium phosphide nanorods: molecular dynamics simulations
Nayir, Nadire; TAŞCI, EMRE; Erkoç, Şakir (2016-01-01)
We study the structural properties of the indium phosphide nanorods of different thickness in zinc blende and wurtzite phases by performing classical molecular dynamics simulations using an inter-atomic potential. In addition to different temperatures, the nanorods are also investigated under strain and compression. When the stretch is applied, simulations reveal that the sequence of the irreversible structural transformation for the zinc blende nanorods is zinc blende -> rock salt -> wurtzite and the wurtz...
Structural and electronic properties of guanine and guanosine
Erkoc, F; Erkoç, Şakir (Elsevier BV, 2002-08-16)
The structural and electronic properties of guanine and guanosine have been investigated theoretically by performing semi-empirical and ab initio molecular orbital theory calculations. The geometry of the systems have been optimized considering the semi-empirical molecular orbital theory at the level of Austin model 1, and the electronic properties of the systems have been calculated by ab initio restricted Hartree-Fock with including full MP2 correlation correction in their ground state.
Structural and electronic properties of the DPPC molecule
Erkoç, Şakir; Korkmaz, Filiz (World Scientific Pub Co Pte Lt, 2006-07-01)
The structural and electronic properties of the DPPC molecule have been investigated theoretically by performing semi-empirical self-consistent-field molecular-orbital theory calculations at the PM3 level in its ground state.
Structural and electronic properties of single-wall ZnO nanotubes
Erkoç, Şakir; Kokten, H (Elsevier BV, 2005-07-01)
The structural and electronic properties of armchair and zigzag models of single-wall ZnO nanotubes have been investigated by performing semiempirical molecular orbital self-consistent field calculations at the level of AM1 method within the RHF formulation. It has been found that these structures are stable and endothermic. The armchair model has zero net dipole moment, whereas the zigzag model has nonzero net dipole moment. The interfrontier molecular energy gap of these systems are different; the gap of ...
