Multi-echelon dynamic capacitated facility location problem for the recovery of waste
Tarhan, İstenç; Meral, Fatma Sedef; Department of Industrial Engineering (2015)
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive became a European Union Law in February, 2003. Turkey introduced an akin regulation in May, 2013 to give original manufacturers of electrical and electronic equipment the responsibility of making provisions for the collection and recovery of wastes. Due to the lack of existing infrastructure for recovery, studies related to recovery networks are supposed to increase in Turkey following the relevant regulation. In this study, we formulate a mathemati...
Multi-objective solid transportation-location problem with variable carbon emission in inventory management: a hybrid approach
Das, Soumen Kumar; Pervin, Magfura; Roy, Sankar Kumar; Weber, Gerhard Wilhelm (2021-02-01)
The most important strategic issue for several industries is where to find facilities so as to discover a transportation path for optimizing the objectives at the same time. This paper acquaints a streamlining model with incorporate the facility location problem, solid transportation problem, and inventory management under multi-objective environment. The aims of the stated formulation are multi-fold: (i) to seek the optimum locations for potential facilities in Euclidean plane; (ii) to find the amount of d...
Multi-image region growing for integrating disparity maps
Leloglu, UĞUR MURAT; Halıcı, Uğur (1999-01-01)
In this paper, a multi-image region growing algorithm to obtain planar 3-D surfaces in the object space from multiple dense disparity maps, is presented. A surface patch is represented by a plane equation and a set of pixels in multiple images. The union of back projections of all pixels in the set onto the infinite plane, forms the surface patch. Thanks to that hybrid representation of planar surfaces, region growing (both region aggregation and region merging) is performed on all images simultaneously. Pl...
Multi-item inventory-routing problem for an FMCG company
Zerman, Erel; Kırca, Ömer; Department of Industrial Engineering (2007)
In this study, inventoryrouting system of a company operating in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry is analyzed. The company has decided to redesign distribution system by locating regional warehouses between production plants and customers. The warehouses in the system are all allowed to hold stock without any capacity restriction. The customers are replenished by the warehouse to which they have been assigned. Customer stocks are continuously monitored by the warehouse and deliveries are to be sch...
