In this study, field inspection method was used for odour immission measurements around a sugar factory in Ankara. The main reasons for this selection were the high odorous emissions released from the factory and the factory being located in a residential area. Field inspections (immission measurements) were performed around a sugar factory in order to determine immission levels. At the end of the immission measurements, a setback distance of 1.5 km is determined that should be around a sugar factory.

Cadmium removal using clinoptilolite : influence of conditioning and regeneration

Clinoptilolite samples obtained from two deposits in Turkey were tested for their potential in removing cadmium from aqueous solutions. Preliminary experiments in batch mode revealed inferior cadmium uptake at low pH.
