Using the NU method [A. F. Nikiforov and V. B. Uvarov, "Special Functions of Mathematical Physics, Birkhauser," Basel, 1988], we investigated the real eigenvalues of the complex and/or PT-symmetric, non-Hermitian and the exponential type systems, such as Poschl-Teller and Morse potentials.

Optoelectronic properties of Ga(4)Se(3)S-layered single crystals
QASRAWI, ATEF FAYEZ HASAN; Hasanlı, Nızamı; Ilaiwi, K. F. (IOP Publishing, 2008-07-01)
The optoelectronic properties of Bridgman method-grown Ga(4)Se(3)S single crystals have been investigated by means of room temperature electrical resistivity, temperature-dependent photosensitivity and temperature-dependent optical absorption. The photosensitivity was observed to increase with decreasing temperature, the illumination dependence of which was found to exhibit monomolecular recombination in the bulk at 300 K. The absorption coefficient, which was calculated in the incident photon energy range ...
Scattering and bound state solutions of the asymmetric Hulthen potential
Arda, Altug; AYDOĞDU, OKTAY; Sever, Ramazan (IOP Publishing, 2011-08-01)
The one-dimensional time-independent Schrodinger equation is solved for the asymmetric Hulthen potential. The reflection and transmission coefficients and bound state solutions are obtained in terms of the hypergeometric functions. It is observed that the unitary condition is satisfied in the non-relativistic region.
Coherent states for PT-/non-PT-symmetric and non-Hermitian Morse potentials via the path integral method
KANDIRMAZ, NALAN; Sever, Ramazan (IOP Publishing, 2010-03-01)
We discuss the coherent states for PT-/non-PT-symmetric and non-Hermitian generalized Morse potentials obtained by using path integral formalism over the holomorphic coordinates. We transform the action of generalized Morse potentials into two harmonic oscillators with a new parametric time to establish the parametric time coherent states. We calculate the energy eigenvalues and the corresponding wave functions in parabolic coordinates.
Exact Solutions of Effective-Mass Dirac-Pauli Equation with an Electromagnetic Field
Arda, Altug; Sever, Ramazan (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2017-01-01)
The exact bound state solutions of the Dirac-Pauli equation are studied for an appropriate position-dependent mass function by using the Nikiforov-Uvarov method. For a central electric field having a shifted inverse linear term, all two kinds of solutions for bound states are obtained in closed forms.
Numerical studies of the electronic properties of low dimensional semiconductor heterostructures
Dikmen, Bora; Tomak, Mehmet; Department of Physics (2004)
An efficient numerical method for solving Schrödinger's and Poisson's equations using a basis set of cubic B-splines is investigated. The method is applied to find both the wave functions and the corresponding eigenenergies of low-dimensional semiconductor structures. The computational efficiency of the method is explicitly shown by the multiresolution analysis, non-uniform grid construction and imposed boundary conditions by applying it to well-known single electron potentials. The method compares well wit...
