Tensile-Creep Test Specimen Preparation Practices of Surface Support Liners
Güner, Doğukan; Öztürk, Hasan (2017-09-15)
Ground support has always been considered as a challenging issue in all underground operations. Many forms of support systems and supporting techniques are available in the mining/tunnelling industry. In the last two decades, a new polymer based material, Thin Spray-on Liner (TSL), has attained a place in the market as an alternative to the current areal ground support systems. Although TSL provides numerous merits and has different application purposes, the knowledge on mechanical properties and performanc...
Analysis of The Planning Education in the Light of the Contemporary Trends in Planning
Husar, Husar, Milan; Varis, Sila Ceren; Ondrejicka, Vladimir (IOP Publishing; 2017-12)
This paper examines the way the planning education is taught and examines the recent trends in the curricula of planning education institutions. The introduction of changing economic systems and planning in the field of education is discussed against these changes. Additionally, the evolution in the planner's role and how it affects the planning education is discussed. The paper is addressing trends and challenges the countries and their planning changes are facing in 21st century. The trends such as increa...
NEOGENE-RECENT SEDIMENTATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE ADANACILICIAN BASIN
EVANS, G; GORUR, N; ALAVI, N (1988-08-01)
The Adana-Cilician basin formed by interaction between the African, Arabian, and Anatolian plates. The basin has been filled asymmetrically from the north and northeast with the northeastern extremity having been completely filled to form the Adana basin beneath the plain of the Seyhan delta. There is no direct borehole evidence from the submarine areas, but coastal boreholes have revealed the presence of at least 6 km of Neogene sediment. The Burdigalian-Serravalian interval is dominated by turbidites and ...
ISOTOPIC EVALUATION OF HYDROLOGIC COMPONENTS IN THE GUVENC BASIN OF ANKARA
GUNYAKTI, A; ALTINBILEK, HD (1993-07-23)
The hydrologie and isotopic data were analyzed for samples collected in 1989 and 1990 for the Guvenç basin of Ankara. Hydrograph components were evaluated for nine storm events. The average contribution of baseflow, interflow, and surface flow to the streamflow was 61,24, and 15%, respectively
Pressure Dependence of Molar Volume near the Melting Point in Benzene
Yurtseven, Hasan Hamit (Tsinghua University Press, 2007-10-01)
The pressure dependence of the molar volume was at constant temperatures close to the melting point in benzene. The molar volume of benzene was calculated using experimental data for the thermal expansivity for constant temperatures of 25°C, 28.5°C, 40°C, and 51°C at various pressures for both the solid and liquid phases. The predictions are in good agreement with the observed volumes in both the solid and liquid phases of benzene. The predicted values of the molar volume for a constant temperature of 28.5°...
