INTERPRETATION OF AUBIN FUZZY COALITIONS AND THEIR EXTENSION - RELAXATION OF FINITE EXCHANGE ECONOMICS

1994-09-01
HUSSEINOV, F
In this article a new interpretation of Aubin's fuzzy coalitions is given. This interpretation is based on associating each finite pure exchange economy with some large nonatomic economy. Then some connections between fuzzy core of finite economy and the core of associated nonatomic economy are established. From these results it is derived that for the case of convex preferences an allocation belonging to the fuzzy core is an equilibrium allocation. The assertion is not true in nonconvex case. We proceed by using the idea of J.P. Aubin - amplifying the class of coalitions in such a manner that an allocation unblocked by them is an equilibrium allocation also in the nonconvex case.

An evaluation of the reform process in the Turkish prison system: role of the international and European norms and prisoners’ complaints
Takıl, Gizem; Eralp, Yakup Atila; Department of European Studies (2011)
This thesis analyzes the reforms in Turkish Prison System in the light of the international standards and accession to the European Union. The standards and Turkey’s efforts to comply with the requirements of those standards are handled in historical order. The process, reasons and initiators of the change are evaluated in the thesis. In order to understand if the process is shaped by a top down or a bottom up effect, criticisms of the Council of Europe and the European Union, and petitions of the prisoners...
Evaluation of inconsistency in a 2-way fuzzy adaptive system using shadowed sets
Gurkan, E; Erkmen, Aydan Müşerref; Erkmen, İsmet (2001-05-24)
Our objective in this paper is to evaluate inconsistency for our proposed 2-way fuzzy adaptive system that makes use of intuitionistic fuzzy sets. Uncertainty is modeled as the width of the interval introduced by the independent assignment of membership and nonmembership functions of the intuitionistic fuzzy sets. There is only a consistency constraint in this assignment, violation of which gives rise to inconsistency in the system. The inconsistency model using this fact is reduced through training. There ...
The Role of Gender and Education on Decision-Making
Jacques, Mostert; Osman, Gulseven (Walter de Gruyter GmbH, 2019-12-1)
Abstract
In this article we investigated the predominance of six unique dimensions of decisionmaking. We defined those dimensions as rationality, acuity, autonomy, openness, control, and emotion-neutrality. Our data is based on an online survey conducted on a global scale. From this survey, we received a total of 356 responses, of which 204 (57.3%) are females, and 152 (42.70%) are males. Of the respondents, 139 (39.04%) work in the education sector as teachers, academicians,...
Analysis of the EU-Turkey Statement within the scope of externalization of migration policy of the EU
Fal, Bengüsu; Kale Lack, Başak; Department of International Relations (2021-9)
This thesis analyzes the EU-Turkey Statement in relation to the externalization of migration policy of the EU. The main aim of this study is to evaluate the tools of externalization of migration policy of the EU within the EU-Turkey Statement announced on 18th March 2016. One of the main reasons for the existence of the Statement is the externalization of migration policy of the EU. In this context, this thesis first explains the formation of the externalization of migration policy of the EU and its tools. ...
Analysis of the Junction Properties of C/GaSe0.5S0.5/C Back-to-Back Schottky-Type Photodetectors
Khanfar, Hazem K.; Qasrawi, Atef F.; Hasanlı, Nızamı (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), 2015-4)
In this paper, a C/GaSe0.5S0.5/C metal-semiconductor-metal photodetector is suggested and described. The device is explored by means of current-voltage and capacitance-voltage (C-V) characteristics under different photoexcitation intensities. It was observed that the design of the back-to-back Schottky device has reduced the dark current of the normal Ag/GaSe0.5S0.5/C Schottky diode by 13 times and increased the photosensitivity from 3.8 to similar to 2.1x10(3). The device exhibited a barrier height of 0.84...
