Compactifications with S-duality twists

We consider generalised Scherk Schwarz reductions of supergravity and superstring theories with twists by electromagnetic dualities that are symmetries of the equations of motion but not of the action, such as the S-duality of D=4, N=4 super-Yang-Mills coupled to supergravity. The reduction cannot be done on the action itself, but must be done either on the field equations or on a duality invariant form of the action, such as one in the doubled formalism in which potentials are introduced for both electric and magnetic fields. The resulting theory in odd-dimensions has massive form fields satisfying a self-duality condition dAsimilar tom(*)A. We construct such theories in D=3, 5, 7.

We present the embedding of three-dimensional SO(4) proportional to R-6 gauged N = 4 supergravity with quaternionic target space SO(4, 4)/(SO(4) x SO(4)) into D = 6, N = (1, 0) supergravity coupled to a single chiral tensor multiplet through a consistent reduction on AdS(3) x S-3. Toroidal compactification in string theory from Chern-Simons theory

A detailed study of the charge spectrum of three-dimensional Abelian Topological Massive Gauge Theory (TMGT) is given. When this theory is defined on a manifold with two disconnected boundaries there are induced chiral Conformal Field Theories (CFT's) on the boundaries which can be interpreted as the left and right sectors of closed strings. AdS-plane wave and pp-wave solutions of generic gravity theories

We construct the anti-de Sitter-plane wave solutions of generic gravity theory built on the arbitrary powers of the Riemann tensor and its derivatives in analogy with the pp-wave solutions. In constructing the wave solutions of the generic theory, we show that the most general two-tensor built from the Riemann tensor and its derivatives can be written in terms of the traceless Ricci tensor. Supersymmetric solutions of PT-/non-PT-symmetric and non-Hermitian screened Coulomb potential via Hamiltonian hierarchy inspired variational method

The supersymmetric solutions of PT -symmetric and Hermitian/non-Hermitian forms of quantum systems are obtained by solving the Schrodinger equation for the Exponential-Cosine Screened Coulomb potential. The Hamiltonian hierarchy inspired variational method is used to obtain the approximate energy eigenvalues and corresponding wave functions.
Characterizations of Riesz spaces with b-property

A Riesz space E is said to have b-property if each subset which is order bounded in E(similar to similar to) is order bounded in E. The relationship between b-property and completeness, being a retract and the absolute weak topology vertical bar sigma vertical bar (E(similar to), E) is studied. Perfect Riesz spaces are characterized in terms of b-property. It is shown that b-property coincides with the Levi property in Dedekind complete Frechet lattices.
