We compare one round diffusion characteristics of the block cipher Spectr-H64 to those of AES-Rijndael and Safer K-64, in terms of the Avalanche Weight Distribution (AWD) criterion and observe a weakness in the round transformation of Spectr-H64. We exploit this weakness to break one round of Spectr-H64 extracting half of the key bits, and develop a chosen plaintext slide attack against the overall encryption algorithm, which works for 2(32) elements of the key space (out of 2(256)). We also observe 2(128) weak keys, for which encryption becomes the same function as decryption, and 2(32) fixed points for each weak key.

Wetting behavior and reaction layer formation in C/SiC composite-titanium alloy joints
Saltik, Simge; ESEN, ZİYA; Dericioğlu, Arcan Fehmi (2021-09-01)
The present study investigates the effect of brazing parameters on reaction layer formation, and mechanical properties of C/SiC composite-Ti6Al4V alloy joints produced by brazing technique. The wetting mechanism of the C/SiC composite surface by the Ag-Cu-Ti-based active brazing filler alloy has also been studied and correlated with the reaction layer formation.
Speed Control by Sliding Mode of Synchronous Motor
Bahi, T.; Lachtar, S.; Soufi, Y.; Lckhchine, S.; Merabet, H. (2011-09-10)
This paper presents the results of a simulation for synchronous motor speed control using a Direct Torque Control (DTC). This technique was object of a deep study for synchronous motor drives instead of precise closed loop speed control. However, this technique presents some problems such as, high influence of the motor parameters. The sliding mode controller is a model-based approach used to improve the robustness of the control law despite this influence and to illustrate the good performance of this tech...
Isovector axial vector and pseudoscalar transition form factors of Delta in QCD
KÜÇÜKARSLAN, AYŞE; Ozdem, U.; Özpineci, Altuğ (2014-09-03)
We investigate the isovector axial vector and pseudoscalar form factors of Delta baryon by employing light-cone QCD sum rules. Numerical calculations show that the form factors can be well fitted by the exponential form. We make a comparison with the predictions of lattice QCD, chiral perturbation theory and quark model.
PSEUDOPOTENTIAL CALCULATION OF ATOMIC SHORT RANGE ORDER PARAMETERS OF THREE-COMPONENT ALLOYS Ni//3(Fe, Me).
Mehrabov, Amdulla (1986-12-01)
The electronic theory of atomic short range order (SRO) for three-component alloys in the approximation of the pseudopotential method has been developed by other workers. This article calculates the energy and structure parameters of SRO for alloys Ni//3(Fe, Me) (where Me EQUVLNT Nb, V or Ta). A comparison between the results of the calculation of partial SRO parameters and experiment shows qualitative agreement for the alloys investigated.
Experimental investigation of the effects of tip-injection on the aerodynamic loads and wake characteristics of a model horizontal axis wind turbine rotor
Abdulrahim, Anas; Uzol, Oğuz; Department of Aerospace Engineering (2014)
In this study, tip injection is implemented on a model Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine (HAWT) rotor to investigate the power and thrust coefficient variations as well as the wake characteristics. The model wind turbine has a 0.95 m diameter 3-bladed rotor with non-linearly twisted and tapered blades that has NREL S826 profile. The nacelle, hub and the blades are specifically designed to allow pressurized air to pass through and get injected from the tips while the rotor is rotating. The experiments are perform...
