We compare the existing data about electromagnetic form factors of the proton in the time-like region of momentum transfer (up to s similar or equal to 14 GeV2), with the corresponding data in the space-like region. From the constrains given by the PhragmenLindelof theorem, it turns out that the asymptotic regime can not be reached simultaneously for both form factors (electric and magnetic) in the considered region of momentum transfer. The angular dependence for the annihilation processes, such as (p) over bar + p e(+) + e(-), is sensitive to the asymptotic properties of form factors. (C) 2001 Published by Elsevier Science B.V.

Search for contact interactions and large extra dimensions in the dilepton mass spectra from proton-proton collisions at root s=13 TeV
Sirunyan, A. M.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2019-04-01)
A search for nonresonant excesses in the invariant mass spectra of electron and muon pairs is presented. The analysis is based on data from proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV recorded by the CMS experiment in 2016, corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 36 fb(-1). No significant deviation from the standard model is observed. Limits are set at 95% confidence level on energy scales for two general classes of nonresonant models. For a class of fermion contact interaction m...
Search for dark matter inproton-proton collisions at 8 TeV with missing transverse momentum and vector boson tagged jets
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2016-12-01)
A search is presented for an excess of events with large missing transverse momentum in association with at least one highly energetic jet, in a data sample of protonproton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 8 TeV. The data correspond to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb(-1) collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC. The results are interpreted using a set of simplified models for the production of dark matter via a scalar, pseudoscalar, vector, or axial vector mediator. Additional sensitivity is a...
Search for a charged Higgs boson in pp collisions at root s=8 TeV
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2015-11-01)
A search for a charged Higgs boson is performed with a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 +/- 0.5 fb(-1) collected with the CMS detector in proton-proton collisions at root s = 8,TeV. The charged Higgs boson is searched for in top quark decays for m(H +/-) t(b)H-+/- for m(H +/-) > m(t) - m(b). The H-+/- -> tau(+/-)nu(tau) and H-+/- -> tb decay modes in the final states tau(h)+jets, mu tau(h), l+jets, and ll' (l =e, mu) are considered in the search. No signal is observed and 95% c...
Search for supersymmetry in events with a lepton, a photon, and large missing transverse energy in pp collisions at root s=7 TeV
Chatrchyan, S.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2011-06-01)
A search is performed for an excess of events, over the standard model expectations, with a photon, a lepton, and large missing transverse energy in pp collisions root s = 7TeV. Such events are expected in many new physics models, in particular a theory that is broken via a gauge-mediated mechanism, when the lightest and neutral gauginos are mass degenerate. The data sample used in this search to an integrated luminosity of 35 pb(-1) collected with the CMS detector at the No evidence of such an excess above...
Search for top squark pair production in pp collisions at root s=13 TeV using single lepton events
Sirunyan, A. M.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2017-10-01)
A search for top squark pair production in pp collisions at root s = 13 TeV is performed using events with a single isolated electron or muon, jets, and a large transverse momentum imbalance. The results are based on data collected in 2016 with the CMS detector at the LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb(-1). No significant excess of events is observed above the expectation from standard model processes. Exclusion limits are set in the context of supersymmetric models of pair production...
