COMPUTER-AIDED ANALYSIS OF MICROSTRIP ANTENNAS EMPLOYING PARASITIC ELEMENTS
HAYIRLIOGLU, L; Birand, Mehmet Tuncay (Wiley, 1993-10-01)
The moment method in the spectral domain is used to perform a computer-aided analysis of printed antenna structures employing tuning stubs and electromagnetically coupled patches. Variation of the input VSWR versus frequency is obtained and the radiation patterns are plotted for various antenna configurations. Surface wave coupling effects are investigated. Computer modeling of blowback oil consumption in internal engines
Bilge, Egemen; Dursunkaya, Zafer; Department of Mechanical Engineering (2009)
Environmental pollution is an important problem of our world. Governments are aware of this problem and emission regulations are continuously improved. One of the strictest regulations is about unburned and burned hydrocarbon emissions. In internal combustion engines the origin of the burned and unburned hydrocarbons is fuel and engine oil. As a result of the sanctions and the necessity of improved combustion performance of the engine, manufacturers work on manufacturing technology and engine tribology. Wit...
Computer simulation of processes involving multicomponent multiphase equilibria
Aras, Mustafa Serdal; Karakaya, İshak; Demirci, Gökhan; Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (2016)
A computer program applicable for simulating the chemical processes involving multicomponent multiphase equilibria was developed. The assemblage of the equilibrium phases and their compositions were determined from Gibbs energy minimization. The thermodynamic state of the system was specified by assigning the temperature and pressure. The algorithm of the optimization routine was based on the minimization of the Gibbs energy. The minimization method was performed using the Lagrange’s method of undetermined ...
Computer modelling of residual stress & distortion for additively manufactured metal parts
Polat, Yusuf Alptuğ; Şimşir, Caner; Yasa, Evren; Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (2022-11-28)
Selective Laser Melting is a promising manufacturing technique which has been developed significantly in recent years. Additive nature of the process and selective fusion of metal powders enables manufacturing of complex geometries with minimum material wastege. However, residual stress formation during build stage of Selective Laser Melting process have negative effect on part mechanical properties and service life. Existence of residual stresses may lead to crack formation, part distortion and may reduce ...
