We study the ground state properties of a one-dimensional liquid He-3-He-4 mixture interacting via a hard-core repulsive potential at zero temperature. We use the self-consistent field approach to calculate the ground state partial structure factors, the effective interactions between the species, and collective modes. Our results are in qualitative agreement with more sophisticated approaches.

Stability of (1(1)over-bar-00) m-plane GaN films grown by metalorganic chemical vapor deposition
İmer, Muhsine Bilge; Cravens, Michael D.; Speck, James S.; DenBaars, Steven P. (IOP Publishing, 2006-11-01)
We show the stability of planar nonpolar (1 (1) over bar 00) m-plane GaN thin films grown on m-plane 6H-SiC substrates using an AlN nucleation layer (NL) by metalorganic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD). The stability of the m-plane GaN films was studied for a wide range of growth variables including reactor pressure, temperature, and group III and V flow rates. The surface morphology and crystal quality of the m-plane GaN films were less sensitive to changes in these growth variables than those of nonpola...
Modelling of non-uniform DC driven glow discharge in argon gas
Rafatov, İsmail; BILIKMEN, S. (Elsevier BV, 2007-07-16)
Physical properties of non-uniform DC-driven glow discharge in argon at pressure 1 torr are analyzed numerically. Spatially two-dimensional axial-symmetric model is based on the diffusion-drift theory of gas discharge. Results presented compare favorably with the classic theory of glow discharges and exhibit good agreement with the experimental result. Comparison with the result of spatially one-dimensional model is performed. (c) 2007 Elsevier B.V. All fights reserved.
Pressure dependence of the Raman frequencies of ammonia solid I near the melting point
Yurtseven, Hasan Hamit (Institute of Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences, 2001-05-01)
We calculated in this study the Raman frequencies of some lattice modes in the melting region of ammonia solid I. The Raman frequencies of those phonon modes were obtained through the Gruneisen relation using the volume data for the ammonia solid I from the literature. Our calculated Raman frequencies require for comparison the experimental Raman frequencies measured as a function of pressure for some fixed temperatures in the ammonia solid I.
Trapping center parameters in TlInS2 layered crystals by thermally stimulated current measurements
Yuksek, NS; Hasanlı, Nızamı; Ozkan, H; Karci, O (Institute of Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences, 2004-07-01)
Thermally stimulated current measurements are carried out on TlInS2 layered single crystal with the current flowing perpendicular to the c-axis in the temperature range of 10 to 90 K. The results are analyzed according to various methods, such as curve fitting, heating rate, and initial rise methods, which seem to be in good agreement with each other. Experimental evidence is found for one trapping center in TlInS2 crystal in the low-temperature region.
Fluid model of dc glow discharge with nonlocal ionization source term
Rafatov, İsmail; KUDRYAVTSEV, A. A. (2012-06-29)
We developed and tested a simple hybrid model for a glow discharge, which incorporates nonlocal ionization by fast electrons into the fluid framework. Calculations have been performed for an argon gas. Comparison with the experimental data as well as with the hybrid (particle) and fluid modelling results demonstated good applicability of the proposed model.
