Charge symmetry of strong interaction results in a simplified spin structure of amplitude for n + p --> d + eta in "orthogonal" kinematics, where the eta-production angle is equal to 90 degrees in CMS. The presence of singlet and triplet amplitudes in such kinematics induces a rich set of different polarization observables, sensitive to the relative value of these amplitudes. This can be used to test a hypothesis of singlet enhancement of eta-production in NN- and (N) over bar N-collisions, due to a nonperturbative s (s) over bar-component of the nucleon with special polarization properties.

Studies of Beauty Suppression via Nonprompt D-0 Mesons in Pb-Pb Collisions at root s(NN)=5.02 TeV
Sirunyan, A. M.; et. al. (American Physical Society (APS), 2019-07-01)
The transverse momentum spectra of D-0 mesons from b hadron decays are measured at midrapidity (vertical bar y vertical bar < 1) in pp and Pb-Pb collisions at a nucleon-nucleon center of mass energy of 5.02 TeV with the CMS detector at the LHC. The D-0 mesons from b hadron decays are distinguished from prompt D-0 mesons by their decay topologies. In Pb-Pb collisions, the B -> D-0 yield is found to be suppressed in the measured p(T) range from 2 to 100 GeV/c as compared to pp collisions. The suppression is w...
Probing the phases in the MSSM via e(+)e(-) -> hA
Demir, DA (Elsevier BV, 1999-10-21)
In the presence of the supersymmetric CP phases, e(+)e(-) --> Z* --> hA scattering is analyzed, with special emphasis on Z* hA vertex, taking into account radiatve corrections due to dominant top quark and top squark loops in the Higgs sector as well as the vertex formfactors. It is found that the lightest Higgs remains essentially CP-even whereas the heavier ones mix with each other strongly. Moreover, the supersymmetric CP phases are found to create tree-level couplings between a pseudoscalar and identica...
Measurement of the ratio of the 3-jet to 2-jet cross sections in pp collisions at root s=7 TeV
Chatrchyan, S.; et. al. (Elsevier BV, 2011-08-01)
A measurement of the ratio of the inclusive 3-jet to 2-jet cross sections as a function of the total jet transverse momentum. HT, in the range 0.2 0.5 TeV. This measurement extends to an H-T range that has not been explored before. (C) 2011 CERN. Published by Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
Measurement of the Z boson differential cross section in transverse momentum and rapidity in proton-proton collisions at 8 TeV
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (Elsevier BV, 2015-10-01)
We present a measurement of the Z boson differential cross section in rapidity and transverse momentum using a data sample of pp collision events at a centre-of-mass energy root s = 8 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb(-1). The Z boson is identified via its decay to a pair of muons. The measurement provides a precision test of quantum chromodynamics over a large region of phase space. In addition, due to the small experimental uncertainties in the measurement the data has the potentia...
Measurement of the differential dijet production cross section in proton-proton collisions at root s=7 TeV
Chatrchyan, S.; et. al. (Elsevier BV, 2011-06-01)
A measurement of the double-differential inclusive dijet production cross section in proton-proton collisions at root s = 7 TeV is presented as a function of the dijet invariant mass and jet rapidity. The data correspond to an integrated luminosity of 36 pb(-1), recorded with the CMS detector at the LHC. The measurement covers the dijet mass range 0.2 TeV to 3.5 TeV and jet rapidities up to vertical bar y vertical bar = 2.5. It is found to be in good agreement with next-to-leading-order QCD predictions. (C)...
